As a result, it suffered numerous time-slot changes (and a number of cancellations), but 'Firestone' remained a prestigious cultural venue for a range of performers, including Dorothy Kirsten, Rise Stevens and Rudolf Nureyev. Idabelle Firestone penned its theme music, and its assistant producer was Fred (later 'Mister') Rogers.
