Battersea

Tony Robinson has privileged behind-the-scenes access to Battersea Power Station as it undergoes restoration.

Episode 2

London Gateway

Tony goes behind the scenes at London Gateway. It's the newest and largest container port on the Thames. An automated wonderland where efficiency is the name of the game awaits him.

Episode 3

Cutty Sark

Tony is in Greenwich, where he visits the Cutty Sark. He gets behind the scenes access at this iconic tourist attraction and finds out how they keep what was once the fastest sailing ship of her time ship-shape in dry dock.

Episode 4

Port of London

Tony observes a huge tunnelling machine travelling through the Thames barrier as it is shipped up the river. He then heads out of London to Marlow Rowing Club, where he meets Olympians past, present, and future.

Southend

Tony travels as far as the Estuary in the East and Waterhay in the West.

Thames Water

Tony explores the important role that the Thames plays now and has played in the past in providing clean water, carrying away sewage and irrigating natural habitats along its banks.

Hampton Court Palace

Tony Robinson is at Hampton Court Palace. Inside, conservator Jen shows Tony the challenges of maintaining such an old and important palace and everything in it.

London City Airport

London City Airport, right in the middle of the capital, is built on an island in the Thames itself, creating some unique challenges for the people who work there. Tony gets to go airside and find out more about those challenges.
