Simone Clark graduates from the FBI Academy and is hoping to join the new unit formed by SSA Matthew Garza, but upon arriving she learns Garza doesn't want her because she's so unpredictable. The team investigates the murder of a man who has intimate knowledge of Federal facilities, which Garza thinks they are targeting. Clark gets a call from detective Lopez telling her that a guy they arrested might know one of the suspects Garza is looking for. Clark uses the info to persuade Garza to put her on the team but some of the team members are not keen on her due to her disregard for procedure.
