The modern take on the Lee Falk comic strip stars Ryan Carnes as Kit Walker, a law student who learns after his parents are murdered that not only was he adopted, but his biological lineage includes a tradition that's been passed from father to son for centuries: serving as the masked crime fighter known as the Phantom. Backed by the covert Bpaa Thaa, a group created by the first Phantom, he sets out to avenge the deaths of his adoptive mother and father, who died at the hands of the nefarious Singh Brotherhood. At the same time, he discovers that the Brotherhood has other sinister plans up its sleeve: brainwashing people via a special cable-TV set-top box.
