Jack's first case back: the well-to-do parents of a teenage shooting victim are suing the well-to-do parents of the teenage shooter, who had been acquitted in a trial. At the clinic, Riley and Ariel defend a 16-year-old who drove a truck filled with explosives into the Capitol Mall reflecting pool.

Of course, he has his own agenda ( a stay of execution). Meanwhile, a judge compels Riley to defend a young man (Julien Cesario) accused of assaulting a storeowner. And Rushton is troubled by a photo that Ariel had taken from Jack's files.
