A run-of-DeMille circus drama inspired by the 1952 Oscar winner and produced in conjunction with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus (which supplied circus acts for the show). Big-name guests (Red Buttons, Betty Hutton, Don Ameche, Jose Ferrer, James Coburn and Buster Keaton among them) appeared under this big top, and Richard Rodgers wrote the theme song ('March of the Clowns'), but the 'Greatest Show' folded its tent after just one season.
