Heat 1: The Restless Earth

Heat 2: Classic Books

Three teams create best sellers based on the books of Lawrence of Arabia, H.G. Wells and Agatha Christie, featuring Roman ruins, alien motherships and the Orient Express.

Heat 3: The Best of British

Given the task of creating layouts on the theme of Best of British this week's teams create a bucolic landscape of crochet trees, massive replicas of Kings Cross and St Pancras station, and a fiendishly technical haggis delivery system.

Heat 4: Uncharted Territory

This week's three teams of modellers take a magical mystery train tour through a jungle action adventure, a historic flood in 1950s Zeeland and a quarry that reaches the centre of the Earth.

Heat 5: The Sky's the Limit

The fifth and final heat sees the three teams build a steam-punk layout set on a lunar colony, an alpine layout and one set on an alien world.

Semi-final 1: Myths, Monsters, Legends and Fables
