This mystery and family drama revolves around Víctor Buenavidez (Albert Martínez), a loving father to his sons, Enzo (Jerome Ponce) and Calvin (Nash Aguas), who harbors a secret: another son, José Reyes (later Buenavidez) (Joshua García). José and his half-brother Obet (McCoy de León) grow up fatherless, each with a different father. Víctor re-enters José's life, and things begin to improve for the family, but then Víctor suddenly dies at José's home. The two families clash, shocking both sons and devastating Olivia Buenavidez (Eula Valdez), Víctor's widow. Olivia directs her anger at Raquel (Mylene Dizon), José's mother, blaming her for her husband's untimely death. The autopsy reveals poison in Víctor's system, and his death becomes a homicide investigation. Olivia quickly points the finger at the Reyes family. Victor's will further complicates matters when Joseph and Raquel are named co-heirs alongside the main family, with Joseph receiving equal shares to his two other brothers, Enzo and Calvin. The will stipulates that Joseph must complete his education at the same private school as his brothers and, upon graduating from university, share the management of the company with Enzo. In addition to a global inheritance, Raquel also receives a position on the board of directors. The investigation intensifies as suspicion shifts from Joseph and Raquel to Calvin and Olivia. While the siblings try to adjust to the new family dynamic, Olivia continues to defame the Reyes family, especially Raquel and Joseph. Joseph conducts his own investigation and uncovers clues that he hands over to the police, further enraging Olivia.
