A popular, genial personality from the '50s through the '70s, who got his start with a daytime show that featured early appearances by such comics as Carol Burnett and Don Knotts. Moore followed that series with a hit prime-time show that showcased sketches and musical numbers, as well as a regular 'Candid Camera' segment. A 1966 variety series, his third, couldn't compete against 'Bonanza.' Moore also had success hosting two of TV's best game shows, 'I've Got a Secret' and 'To Tell the Truth.'
