The Canadian-born comic hosts this summer comedy-variety series. A 1976 version of the show aired on Canada's CTV network and introduced Joe Flaherty, Dave Thomas, Martin Short, Andrea Martin and John Candy, who went on to comprise the 'SCTV' troupe.

Country music and comedy skits, with guest hosts that included Roy Rogers and Dale Evans; the Oak Ridge Boys; Tammy Wynette and George Jones; Joe Namath (well, he did play for Alabama); and Roy Clark, the only two-time host.

Malibu Beach was the site of this sun 'n' fun potpourri of comedy, nostalgia, contests and music from executive producer Dick Clark, who installed Paul Revere and The Raiders---the stars of Clark's 1965-67 'Where the Action Is'---as the resident band.
