13 Episodes 2017 - 2017
The comedy series, based on the play of the same name by Tracy Letts, follows the life of the owner of a small donut shop in Chicago. Arthur (Judd Hirsch) doesn't get many clients anymore, and when Fawz (Maz Jobrani), the owner of the dry cleaners next door, offers to buy his shop, he refuses, out of nostalgia for old days gone. When a Starbucks opens across the street, the end for the small donut shop seems near, until an ambitious young man, Franco (Jermaine Fowler), shows up asking for a job and promising to modernize the shop and get it back to its past splendor. Things don't really go as planned when Franco gets fired and later arrested for vandalizing the Starbucks. After some soul searching, Arthur decides to give Franco another chance and promises to listen to his ideas and suggestions. The first season of the show centers on the clash between Arthur's ways of old and Franco's innovations---and the fight against a big corporation.
