A sequel to the groundbreaking mini-series Tanner ' 88. Focusing on a documentary filmmaker seeking funding for a film about what it takes to run for the highest political office and the toll it takes on those who lose.

American PR consultant Liz Garvey is hired by Metropolitan chief constable Richard Miller to help the police force improve its image. At the same time, documentary-filmmaker Matt Coward is shadowing Territorial Support Group officers Davina, Robbie, and Clarkey as they arrive at a not-very-well-organized Kurdish protest march where Robbie must remember he is being filmed and tone down the abuse. Elsewhere, Officer Warwick accidentally apprehends an innocent mother whom he has erroneously suspected of being a drug addict. Liz's introductory speech is interrupted by news that a sniper is randomly shooting people around the capital and her disgruntled assistant Finn, annoyed at being passed over for promotion, deliberately makes her look stupid at a press conference by withholding information - as a result of which he is almost sacked. Liz discovers that the sniper is an embittered divorcee who is posting messages on Twitter, from which she locates where he is hiding. The TSG dump Matt to join the stake-out team, who defy Miller by raiding the house, Warwick taking out the sniper. However, the success of the exercise is due more to luck than design, a fact about which Liz and Miller decide to keep quiet.

Our host, Neal Brennan, co-creator of Chappelle's Show, and his panel of insiders, celebs, thought leaders, and critics face off on the subjects that are on everyone's minds. 'The Approval Matrix' itself comes to life with each of the four quadrants (Highbrow, Lowbrow, Despicable and Brilliant) to help define the debate.

Life in Rio de Janeiro is told in short, fast alternating scenes from the viewpoints of two sets of characters, all youngsters, but from both sides of unequal life: generally dark-skinned street-kids, which rarely come to anything better then begging and street crime, and generally white boys from the middle and upper classes, like João Victor, who has a shot at a better future thanks to an actual education. Yet each group simultaneously hates, fears and envies the other at some level when their worlds physically touch but socially remain unbridgeable...

When Daniel returns to his hometown, Rosehaven, to take over his family's troubled real-estate business, he's surprisingly joined by his best (city) friend Emma, who's on the run from a marriage that didn't last the honeymoon. Between Daniel's crippling anxiety and Emma's exuberant irresponsibility, will they be able to save the business? It seems unlikely, but it will be fun to watch them try. And might their friendship mean more than they realize?
