14 Episodes 2009 - 2010
The reality show offers a chance to entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to a panel of potential investors in the hope of getting funding for their projects. The five sharks of Season 1 are Kevin Harrington, Daymond John, Kevin O'Leary, Barbara Corcoran and Robert Herjavec: in each episode a handful of contestants are given one hour to convince at least one of the sharks to bid on their idea, but not everyone manages to bring something really interesting to the table. Some of the products presented throughout the season are: a healthy soda, a plastic elephant that helps in giving medicine to children, underwear that protects from flatulence, a wearable umbrella, a Bluetooth device to be implanted in people's heads and a folding guitar.
