Ryan's Hope
The long-running daytime drama about a large Irish clan living and loving around a chummy watering hole on New York's West Side. Over the years, it won scores of awards, including the Daytime Emmy for Best Series in 1976 and 1978. A bit too homespun to keep up with the changing times, the bar closed with the show's matriarch, Maeve, singing 'Danny Boy.'
