Pole Position
A loose adaptation of the video game series "Pole Position" by Namco. The show features the Darretts, a family of stunt-driving crime fighters, who covertly investigate and thwart crimes while operating under the front of a traveling show known as the "Pole Position Stunt Show". Their show is sponsored by the United States government, who is the actual employer of the family. Following the apparently accidental death of their parents (who were the team's original field agents), the young adult siblings Tess and Dan act as their replacements. Tess is the responsible and coldly logical sibling, while Dan is the emotional and hot-headed one. The two play a parental role to their preteen sister Daisy Darrett, who tags along in their travels. Their wheel-chair bound uncle Dr. Zachary Darrett is the engineer who provides their technologically advanced vehicles and equipment. The series did not feature recurring villains, but Tess had a personal enemy in the person of her backstabbing former love interest Greg Dumont.
