Shy, nerdy teenager Kavya is great at math, science, and all things numbers. Suddenly, she has to enroll in her school's theater program to fulfill an art credit requirement, and winds up meeting the girl of her dreams in her drama class. While managing her new crush, new queer identity, and new challenges as an actress, she has to manage the expectations of her conservative helicopter immigrant mother.
