The first season of this comedy follows Christy Plunkett (Anna Faris), a newly sober single mother to Violet (Sadie Calvano) and Roscoe (Blake Garrett Rosenthal). However, while trying to get her own life back on track, Christy frequently finds herself in confict with her estranged mother Bonnie (Allison Janney), also a recovering addict, and ex-husband Baxter (Matt L. Jones). Christy's personal life is shaken up more when Violet becomes pregnant. French Stewart also stars.
