Episode 1

Sleeping Murder (1)

Gwenda Reed returns to England after spending most of her life in New Zealand. She and her husband Giles buy a house in the country. The house starts to bring back many repressed memories for Gwenda, traumatic memories of her stepmother being murdered, apparently at the hands of her father. Gwenda sets out to find the truth about her stepmother's murder.

When a young bride moves into a country manor, long repressed childhood memories of witnessing a murder come to the surface.

Episode 3

At Bertram's Hotel (1)

Miss Marple is staying at the famous Bertram's Hotel in London, a place that harks back to earlier times and reminds Miss Marple of her youth. Also staying at Bertram's are an eclectic assortment of characters including a canon, the famous, and wealthy, daredevil Bess Sedgewick and her daughter Elvira. Bertram's traditional, polished exterior, however, harbours many secrets.

Canon Pennyfather returns to Bertram's, but struggles to explain his disappearance, could he have been on The Irish Mail Train, robbing it?

Nemesis (1)

A friend of Miss Marple's, self-made millionaire Jason Rafiel, has died. In his will he sends Miss Marple on a coach tour to solve an unspecified crime for a handsome reward. Once on the tour she realises that Mr Rafiel wants her to unravel the mystery of his son and the death of the woman he loved.

Nemesis (2)

Elizabeth Temple is badly injured, she sends for Jane Marple, and manages to relay one piece of information, 'ask them about Verity.'

4.50 from Paddington, Part 1

A friend of Miss Marple's, Mrs. McGillicuddy, is travelling on the 4.50 from Paddington when she sees a man strangling a woman on a neighbouring train. The police turn up nothing and don't believe her but Miss Marple does. She believes the answer to the mystery lies at nearby Rutherford Hall. She enlists the help of her resourceful, energetic niece Lucy Eyelesbarrow, who investigates Rutherford Hall by working there as a housekeeper.

4.50 from Paddington, Part 2

Chief Inspector Duckham insists that Miss Marple is directly involved in the investigation. Miss Marple makes a startling discovery about the Crackenthorpe's family will. The killer strikes again, this time it's Harold.

A Caribbean Mystery

Miss Marple is on holiday in the Caribbean. One of her fellow hotel guests, Major Palgrave, suddenly dies, seemingly from natural causes. When a maid with information related to the Major's death is murdered, it appears that the Major's death might have been less natural than it appeared.

They Do It with Mirrors

Miss Marple visits an old friend, Ruth van Rydock, on a large country estate. Ruth lives there with some relatives and an assortment of characters. When someone is murdered, Miss Marple starts investigating, as does her old sparring partner, Detective Chief Inspector Slack.

Film megastar Marina Gregg is hosting a reception at her home in St Mary Mead. A fan is poisoned at the reception and it appears that the drink was meant for Ms Gregg. On the case is Detective Inspector Craddock...and, of course, Miss Jane Marple.
