Due to Clark's insistence on spontaneous early disclosure and physical clumsiness, their first sales pitch is a humiliating disaster. So the budding firm's business boy Miles agrees their only chance is to win credibility by taking a pro-bono case, notably a boy whose medical insurance refuses to pay for experimental therapy. Clark's daring plan to stage a fake abuse rescue borders several crimes, and it still only gives 30% chance to switch the key executive's mindset, but Clark comes up with a more businesslike final mind game.

However, in the midst of the plan, Clark suffers from a meltdown that leaves him bedridden. In an effort to get him back on the case, Ross stoops to new lows. Meanwhile, Latrell struggles to find the funds to pay the company's employees as the firm's finances begin to pile up.

Meanwhile, Clark desperately tries to figure out what caused the accident while a guilt-ridden Ross struggles to own up to his mistakes.

The Sweet Science

Has-been boxer David Bishop's wife hires the team to stop him from risking his health in a last, hopeless come-back fight against a murderous adversary. Miles prevails in proposing a classical method, fails in stopping the actress from overstepping her reception stop into client hearings. Clark adapts the plan as David's unshakable determination excludes aversion, now aiming at a win. Romanticism has a surprising input in the case. Sam reluctantly sticks to her father's plan to repay his loan-shark, although Ross seems onto them.
