Mercy Point

After a Jewish, high-voiced, woman from Flushing, New York gets fired from her job and dumped by her boyfriend, Fran Fine (Fran Drescher) is mistaken as applying for a nanny for widowed Maxwell Sheffield (Charles Shaughnessy), who has three children, Maggie (Nicholle Tom), Brighton (Benjamin Salisbury), and Grace (Madeline Zima), when she is stuck selling cosmetics in Manhattan. As she spends years there, she becomes great friends with the butler, Niles (Daniel Davis), and the three kids. She is good friends with the widowed man, and some romance sparks through the years.

Declan Dunn is an anthropology professor who believes in miracles and other wonders. When he hears of a miraculous thing he goes out to find out if it's an actual miracle. Peggy Fowler is his friend, a psychiatrist who tries to make sure he's grounded.

Kevin, nicknamed Space, and buddy Hank decide to abandon the routine life to drive across the country. Whatever situation they encounter they adapt and their plans are defined by no rules, no map, just go.

Officer Dan Shay was a married policeman in his twenties with the Los Angeles Police Department. Since he looked much younger than his age, he was very useful in undercover situations. He often posed as a student or a naive young man on the wrong side of the law. Keeping his head together at home was his cute wife Joanne and young daughter Cindy, while Sgt. Abrams was his firm police superior.

Jay Sherman is an overweight and somewhat snobbish New York TV movie critic who is forced to review the most pathetic films to which is he always says, "It stinks." In addition to the film parodies, the show also deals with his professional life working for his tyrannical media mogul boss and his personal life with his friends and family. In a world that seems determined to snub him both in the asinine arts he has to endure and his own difficult relationships, Jay gets along as best he can, while enjoying life's bright spots.
