Episode 3
What the World Needs Now
Sat, Sep 20, 2003 24 mins
Kam wants Kilobots to saturate the market, which would eventually make Medabots obsolete. So Kam puts a plan into action: He will show that Kilobots are superior by defeating as many Medabots as possible, making Medafighters wish to replace their inferior Medabots. He believes that Kilobots were not meant to Robattle, but to simply win against their opponent by any means. That morning, Spyke and Krosserdog are out for a run when a couple of Kilobots named Skelbots deliberately take out Krosserdog. In fact, the Skelbots are out destroying all Medabots they encounter. When Erika's Brass is threatened, Ikki and Metabee arrive to help. So does a mysterious boy with his Medabot, Roks. This boy is dressed in a hat and dark cloak so very little of him is exposed. Roks easily defeats the Skelbots, leaving Ikki and Metabee feeling inferior. After Brass is out of danger (thanks to the cloaked boy), Erika takes a picture of his back when he turns to leave. She is determined to write a story on him, calling him the Mystery Medafighter. The Screws end up maliciously taking the picture from Erika. They take it to Kam, saying that he can have it if he gives them a special part (flight system) for Peppercat. When the picture actually reveals nothing, Kam has Samantha put posters around the city stating that Ikki wants to challenge the Mystery Medafighter. Not far off, Ikki and Metabee have run into a new boy and his Medabot. Ikki finds out the boy is going to their school, and his name is Zuru. They both see what Samantha is doing, and it turns out (for his pride's sake) Ikki does want to Robattle the Mystery Medafighter. Many children gather in the meeting point to watch the Robattle, and while the Mystery Medafighter shows up, he says he is not interested as he only fights against Kilobots, explaining a bit about them. Kam shows up to take on the Mystery Medafighter himself, and Ikki is left to fend off Masa and his gang of Skelbots. As the battles begin, Samantha looks as if she's going to help Ikki... Until Masa gives her a Skelbot leg part as part of their deal. But this turned out to be a good thing since Peppercat couldn't handle the new part and ended up disrupting out at least half of the Skelbots by accident, making it easier for Metabee to handle them. Meanwhile, Kam and the Mystery Medafighter continue to push their Medabots, despite everyone asking them to stop. As the two would not stop and it started raining, everyone starts leaving. Ikki yells for them to stop, pointing to the Mystery Medafighter that he's no better than the Kilobots since all he wants to do is destroy them at any cost, becoming just like them. The Mystery Medafighter realizes Ikki is right and leaves with Roks. Kam does not understand why his opponent was leaving during their match, as a victor was not decided yet. A little while later, Miss Nae is informed of the events. She feels relieved when Ikki reassures her that they won't turn out like Kam. Medabots are their friends, not fighting machines. Then Erika says she loves a good story, and she's determined to find out who the Mystery Medafighter is.

As a reward for his cooperation, Dr. Aki prepared a sweet lunch for the kids and will allow them to check the two newest Medabot models before they are revealed to the public. Zuru arrived in the lab with Ikki, but the Screws got lost on the way and found Ginkai in a subway, who makes a deal with them in exchange of showing the way. While Ikki and Zuru are eating, the scientists analyze Metabee's memories. Metabee complains that there is no reward for him, but Ikki says he will give oil for him later. After checking Metabee's Robattle against Redrun, Dr. Aki reveals the new Medabots, Arcbeetle Dash and Tyrelbeetle, who will be able to counter the Kilobots, and he talks a little about their creator. Dr. Aki suggests Ikki and Zuru to test the new Medabots, with the Medal from Zuru's Gorem-2 being placed on Tyrelbeetle, and Metabee's Medal on Arcbeetle Dash. At first Metabee is shocked, but then he wonders what true power may feel like and gives his go ahead with the project. After Zuru finished his test, the Screws arrive with Ginkai. Since Ginkai is with them, he secretly also gets access, and he sends footage of Metabee's test to Kam. As Ginkai sees Metabee's body abandoned during the test, he decides to kidnap it, telling the Screws to take it while he covers their escape, and Eddie gives them a ride. Metabee does well during the test, but the entire time he complains about Arcbeetle Dash's body weight. He is uncomfortable due to Arcbeetle Dash being a lot heavier than his own body. As they go to put Metabee's Medal back in his body, they run into Ginkai, who challenges him. Metabee is ticked, but Dr. Aki sees it as an opportunity to test Arcbeetle Dash in the field. Ginkai is defeated and kicked out of the lab, but then Ikki realizes that Metabee's body is missing. Ikki and Metabee are sad with what happened, but Dr. Aki allowed them to keep Arcbeetle Dash until they can find Metabee's body. On their way back home, they are challenged by Kam and Ginkai in a subway station in exchange for Metabee's body. Metabee has trouble with his current body, but he manages to win. Not satisfied, Kam does not keep his word and decides to get rid of Metabee's body by throwing it on an incoming train, but Peppercat saves Metabee's body, with Samantha saying she is done doing business with Kam, and Kam leaves. The Mystery Medafighter and Roks watched everything from the shadows, and they leave after seeing that they would not be needed. Metabee is happy to have his body back, and Arcbeetle Dash will be returned to Dr. Aki. While Ikki and Metabee are thankful for Samantha's help, they find her behavior odd and she accidentally reveals what the Screws did.

Episode 14
A Night in the Medabot Junkyard
Sat, Nov 15, 2003 24 mins
Sloan was losing too many Robattles, including one against Spyke, and even against Tak, who was a novice. When asking for advice from Ikki and Metabee, Ikki commented that there are several factors that could be making him lose, and comments that it could also be due to his Medabot. Totalizer thinks that Sloan's losing streak may be his fault, which made him decide to leave the house at night so Sloan can get a better Medabot. Totalizer ends up in the junkyard, where he finds Fossilkat, an old Medabot that dislikes humans, and Totalizer regrets his decision. When Sloan discovers that Totalizer disappeared, he calls him with the Medawatch, and this angers Fossilkat, who ambushes Totalizer with some Tinpets and cuts the transmission, but Sloan got a glimpse of Totalizer location. Sloan calls Ikki to help search for him, explaining what happened and saying that it was his fault. The two go see Nae to ask for her help. Sloan showed the last image he saw on his Medawatch, and after Nae searched on her computer, she found the location, taking them there with her van. In the junkyard, a bunch of Tinpets that have been abandoned ambush them. They are led by Fossilkat, who controlled all Tinpets like zombies, and she also got Totalizer under her control. This Fossilkat had been abandoned when her owner grew up, and now she hates humans, ordering all present to attack Ikki, Sloan, and Nae. As Nae's van had a flat tire, they take cover inside the old building in the area. While inside, Ikki and Metabee say that they would be friends forever, and Ikki would never abandon Metabee like Fossilkat's Medafighter, and Sloan says the same about Totalizer, but Nae disagrees. Nae says that when Medafighters grow up, their feelings might change and they will be preoccupied with other things, and will eventually discard their Medabots, like Fossilkat and all the Tinpets outside. Ikki and Sloan disagree, and Nae can only hope that they are right, and that if they were to break up, it will be in a kinder way than Fossilkat. Totalizer and the others manage to break in, and Metabee fights against the Tinpets while Sloan tries to talk with Totalizer. Luckily Sloan got through to Totalizer, and Totalizer helps Metabee by hitting Tinpets on his way, with Metabee managing to hit Fossilkat. Due to their connection, Totalizer gained access to Fossilkat's memory banks and he explained about Fossilkat's story. After the battle, Nae takes Fossilkat and the Tinpets to her shop and fixes all of them, and they all are sold to get new Medafighters, which will love them as long as they can. Metabee wonders how long he and Ikki will stay together, and Ikki reassures him that they will always be friends, regardless of how old he gets, and they go have fun together while they are still young.
Episode 15
Once a Medafighter: Pt. 1
24 mins
Ginkai and his sister argue to see who will watch TV, and Ginkai's sister says that she does not how he is now, being nicer when he and Bayonet were together, which upsets Ginkai, and he leaves the room. Later, in Kam's house, Kam gave new Kilobot parts for Ginkai, and Kam hears that Redrun is almost complete. Ginkai is surprised to hear that Kam plans to make Redrun his Kilobot, and that he will replace Exor after everything his partner did for him. Before that happens, Kam decides to take Exor for a final battle, asking Ginkai and Unitrix to join him. They beat the Nin-Ninja from a kid, with Ginkai being more brutal than usual due to remembering that other kids did not wish to Robattle with him when he was younger due to Ginkai being too strong and always winning. Later, while doing Unitrix's maintenance near the river, Ginkai remembers his time with his old Medabot, Bayonet, which was more fun than the Robattles he was having with the Kilobots, feeling that they are more like a job than a hobby. One time, Ginkai and Bayonet had helped a kid whose Kappalord was being bullied by an older kid with a Gentleheart, and he befriended the kids he helped. Ginkai hears Ikki, Metabee, and Erika talking about an upcoming tournament held by the Medabot Corporation, with Tyrelbeetle and Arcbeetle Dash being the prizes. Feeling nostalgic, Ginkai decides to enter the tournament, appearing with a mask and using the name Lone Stranger. Besides Ikki and Ginkai, the Screws also enter the tournament, with Samantha wanting the prize, and Ikki convinces Zuru to join. Ikki and Metabee realized that the Lone Stranger is Ginkai as soon as they saw him, but they figured that he could not go far without cheating. Zuru loses in the first round, helping to keep his identity as the Mystery Medafighter a secret, but Samantha, Ikki, and the Lone Stranger advance to the semi-finals. Metabee easily wins his semi-final match, and the Lone Stranger's Unitrix defeats Samantha's Peppercat. The Lone Stranger became popular, with some kids asking for his autograph, and Ikki and Metabee are shocked to see him winning without cheating, beginning to respect Ginkai as a Medafighter. Before the final match, Ginkai reveals his identity. Ikki and Ginkai have a good match that lasts until the time is over, and the match is paused for a minute before starting the sudden-death overtime. However, during the pause, Kam shows up with Redrun to destroy Metabee. The kids watching the match beg the Lone Stranger to help Metabee, and Ginkai remembers what his sister told him. As a friend, Ginkai asks Kam to leave, as they are currently in an official tournament and should obey the rules, and the two argue about their friendship. Kam believes that his friends should obey him, and Ginkai tries to explain that is not how friendship works, but Kam ignores him and continues. Redrun giving Metabee a pounding so good that his Medal ejects. When Kam commands Redrun to destroy Metabee's Medal, Ginkai sends Unitrix to stop Redrun. Now it's Kam versus Ginkai for a moral championship, but can anyone defeat Redrun?
Episode 16
Once a Medafighter: Pt. 2
24 mins
Continuing from the previous episode, Ginkai sends Unitrix to battle Redrun to protect Metabee's Medal, but Unitrix gets slaughtered. The Mystery Medafighter then appears and sends Roks to battle Redrun. Roks disables Redrun and Kam retreats, but not before making a vow that Ginkai will pay for his betrayal, being his enemy from this time on. Seeing that both Medafighters can't continue the Robattle, Dr. Aki declares the tournament a tie and allows both Ikki and Ginkai to take either Arcbeetle Dash or Tyrelbeetle, but Ikki declines saying that Ginkai would have easily beaten him, so Ginkai gets to keep both Medabots. Later, at Ms. Nae's shop, she checks the extension of the damage caused by Redrun and says that Metabee may be fine, but Unitrix was damaged beyond repair, and Ginkai laments the loss, burying Unitrix. While Ginkai is grieving Unitrix's loss and wonders what he will do next, as he lost his Kilobot, Kam will want revenge for his betrayal, and he was too prideful to ask for Ikki's help, but how will he face Kam without a trusty friend? The Mystery Medafighter appears and says that Ginkai showed that he was a honorable person in the tournament, asking why he was working for someone ruthless like Kam. Ginkai explains that he used to be a Medafighter with a Bayonet. They were good friends, but they also argued a lot, like Ikki and Metabee. While participating in an official Robattle tournament in the last year, they got into a fierce argument before the finals, and Ginkai got so upset that he lost it. Ginkai removed Bayonet's Medal and buried it, and as he did not go to the tournament, he lost by default, blaming Bayonet for that. At that time, Kam appeared saying that it was a pity that Ginkai lost, as he could have easily won the tournament, and offered a Kilobot for him, Desperado, in exchange of his friendship. Ginkai was tempted by Kam's offer, as Kam said that Kilobots are better than the childish Medabots because they lack emotions and follow orders without question, not following rules, and the result of a battle would depend only on the Medafighter's skill instead of the teamwork with the Medabot, but now he realizes that Kam was only using him, and he should have always been a fair Medafighter. The Mystery Medafighter is glad that Ginkai realized it, telling Ginkai that he was now free to decide what he will do from now on on his own instead of following someone else. At night, Redrun's repairs are complete, and Kam tests Redrun in a Robattle against his own Exor, destroying him and saying that it was only a warm up for Ginkai. In the next day, Metabee is repaired, but he lost his memory, Nae believing that Redrun's attacks may have cut off some of his neurotransmitters, and Ikki is upset with this. While thinking on what he should do, Ginkai remembers his friendship with Bayonet and he runs to retrieve Bayonet's Medal, finding it in the same spot he buried. Kam appears to challenge Ginkai as payback for his betrayal, and Ginkai accepts the challenge, telling Kam to wait a moment. Ginkai returns home and searches for Bayonet's body, but his sister reminds him that Bayonet was gifted to their cousin. Ginkai then decides to place Bayonet's Medal on the recently acquired Arcbeetle Dash, and explains everything to his old friend, apologizing, and they reconcile. Bayonet, now renamed Arc-Dash, agrees to help Ginkai Robattle against Kam and Redrun. Despite Arcbeetle Dash being one of the strongest Medabots from the Medabot Corporation, Redrun is too much for him. The Mystery Medafighter appears to help again, which upsets Ginkai as this was his fight. However, this time Roks is easily defeated, and Redrun would have destroyed his Medal if Arc-Dash had not saved it. The Mystery Medafighter then asks Ginkai to lend him the Medawatch for Tyrelbeetle. At first Ginkai is against it as he wants a fair one-on-one Robattle, but the Mystery Medafighter convinces him by saying that this was not a normal Robattle, their Medabots were risking their lives to stop a powerful monster. However, even with Arc-Dash and Tyrelbeetle together, Redrun easily overwhelms them until a new command appears on the Medawatches: Meda-Combo. With no options left, they try it, and both Arc-Dash and Tyrelbettle combine to form Masterbeetle and defeat Redrun causing Kam to retreat while vowing revenge again. Ginkai thanks the Mystery Medafighter and tells him that he can keep Tyrelbeetle, as Arc-Dash is his partner and the only Medabot he needs. At the end Ginkai goes to talk with Ikki, who was trying to make Metabee recover his memories. Metabee is clueless as to what's going on until Arc-Dash smacks his head, the strong impact restoring his memory. Metabee becomes his old self, and Ginkai returned being a true Medafighter instead of a rogue one.
Episode 17
Title Flight
Sat, Dec 13, 2003 24 mins
Nae called Ikki, Metabee, and Zuru to help her test a custom remote controlled toy biplane. While Ikki was testing it, the biplane malfunctions and collides with Flyfalcon, a Kilobot that Kam was also testing, their radio signals getting crossed. Due to the accident, Flyfalcon malfunctions and flies away, taking Metabee away with it when he tried to prevent the Kilobot from flying away. To protect the company's secrets, Kam prepares to activate Flyfalcon's self destruction. Ikki asks Kam to not do it as Metabee was with the Kilobot, and he asks if Kam does not feel sorry for his Kilobot, which he does not, and he starts the self destruction sequence. Ikki interrupts Kam, causing an emergency self destruction system to activate, which sets Flyfalcon to explode in 100 minutes instead of right away. Kam explains what happened to Ikki, and Ikki uses his Medawatch to inform Metabee about it. Shortly after this, they lose contact due to Flyfalcon going out of range. To help Metabee, Nae asks Eddie if she can borrow the VTOL he and Kam are using. Eddie is surprised, asking why she wants to save a toy. Nae agrees that from his point of view Metabee may look like just an amusing toy, but for her, Ikki, and Zuru, he is a close friend. Eddie then asks if she even knows how to pilot, and Nae confirms it, going away with Ikki and Zuru while Kam and Eddie wait them return. After Metabee is within range again, Ikki contacts Metabee and tells him to try landing Flyfalcon, suggesting to try it on an empty supermarket parking lot on their path. Metabee is successful, but a car almost hits them and Metabee gets distracted, loosening his grip on Flyfalcon. Flyfalcon flies away, but Metabee jumps on him again, regretting his decision. While Dr. Aki and his assistant were going to the airport, Dr. Aki notices Flyfalcon and Metabee, wondering what is happening. Although reckless, Nae suggests the kids to catch Metabee before they reach the waterfront, opening the VTOL's hatch while Zuru holds Ikki with a rope. However, when they are close, Flyfalcon attacks them, and Nae needs to do an emergent landing to repair the VTOL. While the VTOL is being repaired, Zuru got a plan. Changing to his Mystery Medafighter disguise, Zuru goes to an airport and gives a mission to Roks and Tyrelbeetle, sending them to an airplane that will pass near Flyfalcon's flight path to catch Metabee. After the VTOL is repaired, the Mystery Medafighter appears and explains his plan. They are successful, but Flyfalcon attacks Metabee on the plane. Dr. Aki was inside the same plane, and he is the only one that notices the battle outside, becoming nervous and hoping that no one else will notice it to avoid panic. With time running out, Metabee decides to take Flyfalcon away from the plane, even if for that he has to sacrifice himself, with the two falling. Roks catches Metabee, but Flyfalcon is stubborn, returning to catch Metabee. Meanwhile, Tyrelbeetle approaches them and takes Metabee's Medal, and Flyfalcon flies away. With less than a minute left, Ikki is worried with Metabee, and starts crying, believing that it was over. However, the Mystery Medafighter shows Metabee's Medal, and he tells Ikki to hurry and transport Metabee's body, saving it just in time to avoid the explosion. Ikki rejoices that Metabee is in one piece.

Episode 20
Fall from Grace: Pt. 1
24 mins
Ikki and Metabee see a commercial for Kilobots displaying Unitrix, and they learn that a Kilobot shop was about to open. Erika is worried about this, telling them that Robattles may become more serious and less fun if the number of Kilobots increase. Looking for advice, Ikki goes see Nae, who was watching a press conference about the Kilobots. Extreme Tech's CEO, Henry McKenna, says that the Medabot Corporation has a monopoly over Medabots, and the Kilobots were created to make a friendly competition to revitalize the market and prevent stagnation and provide better products. Kam is also present in the conference, as he helped work on most Kilobots, including Exor and Unitrix, and is the son of Shin Kamazaki, the president from the Bacchus Concern. Kam said that his input was important for making Kilobots good from the eyes of a child, believing that other kids will also see how joyful Kilobots are when they spread around the world. Tired of Kam's words, Ikki and Metabee turn off the TV, and they doubt that anyone would buy a Kilobot, but Nae is not so sure, as children who never participated in a Robattle before do not know how fun they are, and they may find Kilobots more appealing due to their higher performance. There is nothing they can do but continue doing their best to show how fun real Robattles are, and even if the world is filled with Kilobots, they must continue to believe on themselves. Later, in Kam's home, Kam says that it is the beginning of the Kilobot era, and the end of Medabot era. For that, he has a plan to finish with Ikki and Metabee so they will not get on his way. In the next day, Ikki receives a call from Suzie, who asks him to rescue her from Kam in the Bacchus Tower. Ikki and Metabee suspect that it is a trap, but Ikki remembers Metabee of Nae's words, and they decide to go to show them the true spirit of Robattle. Their suspicion was right, and they fall in Kam's trap, with Metabee being beaten by Kam's Exor. The battle was secretly recorded by Kam and his employees, who used advanced technology to modify the images, switching Metabee and Exor to make it look like Metabee was the one fighting aggressively. There was a 1 minute delay to change the images, which were aired to the public on the big screen above the Mermaid shop as a live broadcast. The public was in disbelief with what they were seeing, including Erika. Erika then noticed the Brat Brothers booing Metabee and cheering for Exor, enticing the public, and she questioned them about it, learning that Ikki was on the Bacchus Tower, running there to investigate. Back in the tower, Metabee lands a hit on Exor, and Exor retreats, with the transmission being paused for a moment. Kam then tells an unknown kid that it was his turn to Robattle. Ikki considers leaving, but this time Metabee is the one who reminds him of what Nae said. In the last floor of the tower, a new kid named Banjo appears with Redrun, who proceeds to beat Metabee with easy, and Erika arrives in time to see most of the battle. The live broadcast was now showing Redrun as Metabee and Metabee as Exor, and Zumi started recording the live on the big screen after noticing it. After some beating, Redrun was replaced by Exor and Metabee stayed as himself, the video footage showing Exor defeating Metabee. After Metabee's defeat, the transmission was cut, with a voice claiming that do not know what happened and apologizing for it, returning to the normal broadcasting. After the battle, Kam and Suzie appears, and Banjo leaves, returning Redrun to Kam. Suzie says that she helped Kam in exchange of becoming the spokes-model for the Kilobots, and both Kam and Erika inform Ikki about what was happening outside the tower. Erika says that she will find a way to expose Kam's trick and prove that Ikki and Metabee are innocent.
Episode 21
Fall from Grace: Pt. 2
24 mins
Starts in a dark place, where 100 KBT-type Kilobots are fighting each other to the death. After a long battle, only one is left standing, with an injury on the left eye, Blakbeetle. Kam appears and congratulates the survivor, who is now his Kilobot. The Kilobot Mega Super Store is now open, and Suzie is signing autographs in front of the store, and many Medafighters, like Minitora and Kintora, are buying a Kilobot. Near the store, Erika is brainstorming how her article about the events will be, and hearing her plans, Moira asks if she was not biased. Erika complains that it is the truth, with Extreme Tech being dishonest and Ikki being set-up by them, and she will prove his innocence. Zumi appears and tells Erika to give up as everyone saw what Ikki did, and he even recorded the event. Erika counters that she witnessed the truth personally and that the images shown on the screen were modified. Zumi asks how someone could manipulate a live broadcast, and Erika says that is what she will find out, leaving. After school, Erika goes to the Broadcasting Club to ask Zumi to see his recording of the live transmission, saying that he owes her for what happened before. Zumi is skeptical, but as it could help Erika if her claims were true, he allows her to check his recording. Meanwhile, Ikki and Metabee are resting near the river, dishearten with what happened and wondering what to do. Ginkai and Arc-Dash appear to cheer them, with Ginkai saying that he knows how bad it is to have a bad reputation, but even if others doubt them, they should never stop believing on themselves, continuing to Robattle with honor. Embarrassed with their gratitude, Ginkai says that it was a message from Nae and leaves. In the park, Minitora and Kintora are happy with their new Kilobots, admiring them. Kam appears and sweet-talks them into joining him by saying that with their new Kilobots they could take on any Medafighter, including Ikki, the second place world champion. Following Kam's instructions, the duo challenges Ikki and Metabee, the latter being upset that they simply put away their Medabots (Nin-Ninja and Banisher) in storage, and they accept their challenge to set them straight, combining to meet in the city's stadium. Moira noticed Ikki and Metabee enter the stadium from one side, and several Rogue Medafighters from other, and she runs to warn Erika. In the Broadcasting Club, Erika is still checking the recording, and Zumi complains that they saw it several times, noting that it is impossible to modify a live broadcast, as it takes time to make modifications, and should continue tomorrow. Erika says that it was still early, and then she notices something: The time from the building and from the live broadcast was off by one minute, meaning that it was not an actual live transmission, with the images likely being modified during that time. Zumi doubts that it is enough proof, as a delay of one minute would not be enough to change it even if done by a pro with cutting edge technology. During their conversation, Moira appears and tells Erika about what she saw, and Erika leaves with the recording. In the stadium, Metabee is surrounded by several Kilobots, who fight against him at the same time. Despite this, Ikki and Metabee give their best, fighting fair and square, and Erika records the Robattle with her camera. Kam appears and tells her to not waste her time, as no one will believe her unless it is a live broadcast. Moira appeared with Nae to help Erika, with Nae having an idea. As they are in a stadium, they can use its equipment to make a live transmission and show everyone what is happening. Kam doubts that they can make a live broadcast with only that, but Nae says that they can, and she calls Eddie to talk with him in particular. Nae asks Eddie to help her make the live broadcast, as Kam's selfish behavior was not good for him, needing adults to guide him to the right way, and that Kam must learn that his actions have consequences, otherwise he will continue being selfish and never learn the joy and true spirit of Robattling. Eddie says he understands and makes a call, and the stadium is connected to the same screen that had shown the fake news about Ikki before. Erika then informs about the time discrepancy in the fake live shown some days ago and reveals to the public what was happening in the stadium at the moment, with Ikki and Metabee fighting fairly against impossible odds. The public is upset and starts cheering for Ikki and Metabee. Ginkai also saw the broadcast and told everyone in front of the screen to go to the stadium to cheer for them and show in what they believe. Arc-Dash appeared to help Metabee, making the match more fair, and Suzie notices Ginkai, who told her he went to the stadium to see the truth with his own eyes. Suzie does not care, saying that no one will believe on Ginkai, and Ginkai says that they will, pointing to the stadium's seats, which had several people watching. Upset, Suzie orders Ambiguous 2 to continue attacking. Blakbeetle then appears and defeats Ambiguous 2 with a single kick, with Kam introducing his new Kilobot and admitting that his plan failed, seeing that twisting the truth was not as easy as he believed, and leaves with the other Rogue Medafighters. Before leaving, Blakbeetle tells Metabee that they will meet again very soon. Everyone present cheers for Ikki and Metabee, and Erika is happy to have proved their innocence.
Episode 22
Mystery Medafighter Unmasked?
Sat, Jan 3, 2004 24 mins
Banjo is playing inside an arcade when Kam joins in the game as a challenger and asks him to help discover the identity from the Mystery Medafighter. At first Banjo has no interest, but Kam says that will be a good challenge for him, and Kam won the match against him. Banjo accepts on the condition that he plays with him again. While having fun in the park, Erika and Ikki talk about the increase of problems caused by Kilobots, with some Medafighters even giving up from participating on Robattles due to Rogue Medafighters being no fun, and Erika decides to write an article to remember people that Robattles are about having fun, not just winning. Ikki and Metabee offer to tell their Robattle stories to help Erika, but what they told her was not interesting for her article. Erika then asks Zuru if he has any stories, and he remembers of the girl that teaches him how to Robattle. When Zuru was in kindergarten, he used to visit his father's office a lot, and there, a kind high school girl taught him how fun Robattles can be. Erika loved his story, deciding that "Robattle is friendship" will be the headline from her article. While Ikki and Metabee were being silly and Zuru's nose was gross due to him having a cold and sneezing, Erika comments that those were better than the Rogue Medafighters and the Mystery Medafighter, wondering why they are like that, and Ikki agrees. Somewhere else, Banjo started his plan to discover the Mystery Medafighter's identity. He will simply do a process of elimination, having a Robattle against every Medafighter in town until one of them uses Roks. As long as he does not have a different Medabot, it is sure to work. Meanwhile, Ikki and Metabee went to Nae's shop to return the books she had borrowed, and Nae accidentally made a mess in her storage while searching the blueprints from an old Medabot to repair it. In the mess, Nae found some old photos and felt nostalgic. The first photo was a group photo with members from the Medabot Corporation taken around 3 years ago. Ikki and Metabee are confused, asking why Nae was with them if she was still on high school, and they are surprised to learn that Dr. Aki is her grandfather. While Ikki and Metabee were filling around the mess, Nae continued looking the photos, feeling sad that Dr. Maizu Zora left the company with his son, and realized that his son resembled Zuru. Banjo has been attacking several Medabots with Redrun, asking all his victims if they knew anything about the Mystery Medafighter, but no one knows who he is. Everyone in school is annoyed by the situation, with Erika feeling down that something like this happened just when she was planning to cheer everyone with her article, and Ikki wonders when the Mystery Medafighter will show up to stop the attacks, as they are after him. On his way back home, Zuru saw Banjo attacking a Medafighter and dons his Mystery Medafighter disguise. However, Nae, who was making a delivery nearby, saw him change into his disguise, discovering his identity. He leaves without saying anything, and challenges Redrun with Roks and Tyrelbeetle. However, Redrun is too powerful, so the hints the kid that was being attacked to run away with his Medabot, and he retreats shorty afterwards. Kam reminds the Mystery Medafighter that if he runs away, more Medafighters will be attacked by them until he reveals his identity. Not far from there, Zuru and Nae see each other again, and Nae says that not only she discovered he was the Mystery Medafighter, but also Dr. Maizu's son, showing some of her old photos, with both wondering how they had not realized that sooner. Nae then asks why he is disguising himself and attacking Kilobots, and Zuru reveals that his father left the friendly Medabots Corporation to develop the unthinking, unfeeling Kilobots, informing that his father got so immersed on his research that he neglected his wife and son, which made him hate his father, thus he decided to rebel by attacking Kilobots. Nae tells him that nothing good can come from hatred, and he should talk with his father about it, but Zuru doubts it will help and starts walking away. Nae tells Zuru that nothing will be solved unless he himself talks directly with his father. Back at his home, Zuru finished the repairs from his KWG Medabots and sets in motion a risky plan to stop the attacks, explaining the details to his Medabots. It starts with Zuru sending a message to everyone in school revealing that the Mystery Medafighter is Zuru, and that details will be given at a set location. Then, when everyone is reunited, Zuru said that he heard the attacks would stop if someone said who was the Mystery Medafighter, which he did, but they didn't say anything about it being the truth or not. Roks and Tyrelbeetle then show up and Robattle on their own against Redrun, without instructions from a Medafighter, following a planned attack pattern made by predicting Redrun's attack pattern. That way, Zuru can show that none of the kids present are the Mystery Medafighter, and there will be no reason for them to continue the attacks, also saying that the Mystery Medafighter must be hidden somewhere. However, the Rogue Medafighters wonder if they could fight without commands from their master, and Redrun was too much for Roks and Tyrelbeetle. Even with a well planned attack, Redrun was able to defeat the two Medabots. Blakbeetle then threatens to destroy their Medals if the Mystery Medafighter does not reveal where he is. When Zuru thinks he has no choice but reveal the truth, everyone, including Zuru, is surprised when the Mystery Medafighter's silhouette appears on the distance. Zuru then looks to Nae, who nods to him, and he realizes she was behind the appearance. The Mystery Medafighter was actually Honey, who stayed against the light for some time with a similar disguise and then left. Kam realizes that none of the kids present could be the Mystery Medafighter, and Banjo says that he did his job. The Rogue Medafighters leave, and Nae says that she will take the Mystery Medafighter's Medabots to repair them. Ikki runs to Zuru and is happy that he is not the Mystery Medafighter, as there is no way they could be the same person, and Zuru accidentally sneezes on Ikki, making a nasty mess on his face. Zuru runs away while apologizing, and Ikki angrily chases him.

Episode 24
Rok's Reborn
24 mins
Eddie and Kam revisit the G Joy Game arcade, where Banjo is getting another perfect score. Kam then hires Banjo to use Redrun again to defeat Ginkai's Arc-Dash and the Mystery Medafighter's Tyrelbettle, the best Medabots from the Medabot Corporation, to show the superiority of the Kilobots. Banjo asks Kam why he doesn't do it himself, and Kam says that only Banjo can draw out Redrun's full potential, managing to convince Banjo by teasing his Robattle skills. The scene shifts to a battle between Arc-Dash and Redrun. Redrun is easily defeating Arc-Dash. He manages to knock Arc-Dash from a high floor, and Metabee manages to catch him as he's walking by. They allow Ginkai to get down and take Arc-Dash to Ms. Nae for repairs while Metabee battles Redrun. Redrun's power proves to be to much, and Metabee ended up being thrown on a train, and Redrun follows him. While following Metabee, Ikki encounters Ms. Nae and gets a ride from her, while Banjo encounters Minitora and Kintora and takes their board. As they catch up and the battle continues, Nae suggests that the only thing capable of defeating Redrun is the Medaforce. Ikki is not sure about it, as the Medaforce does not work against Kilobots, but Nae believes that Metabee's Medal, as well as his Medaforce, may have become stronger after so many Robattles against the Kilobots, being worth trying. Without options, Ikki and Metabee decide to try the Medaforce. Despite being more powerful, like Nae predicted, Redrun receives only 1 point of damage while Metabee collapses for using all his energy. Banjo laughs, and before leaving, he says Tyrelbeetle will be next. Ikki does not understand why the Medaforce did not work, as it represents the strength of his ties with Metabee, and starts crying. Later, at Ms. Nae's shop, she begins repairs on Metabee, with Ginkai, Zuru and Erika looking. Ikki notes that it was the first time Metabee used the Medaforce since he got his new parts, and they should have at least practiced before trying using it again. Hearing that Tyrelbeetle is next on Banjo's target list, Zuru leaves the shop. Ms. Nae follows him and warns Zuru to not try facing Redrun, and then offers the only way to defeat Redrun, the Medaforce. Zuru doesn't think Roks can access the Medaforce, but as Nae suspects that Roks is far too skilled for a standard Medabot, she takes Zuru to her grandfather, Dr. Aki, to see if it is possible. Dr. Aki examines Roks's Kuwagata Medal, and finds out it is a First Medal, confirming Nae's suspicion. Zuru asks what is a First Medal, and Dr. Aki explains that Rare Medals, like Metabee's Medal, were not created by the Medabot Corporation, they were found in the ruins from an ancient civilization. After a long research, analysis from those Medals revealed that they had data similar to artificial intelligence and advanced combat abilities. The company decided to incorporate the technology found in the Rare Medals as small computers for Medabots. For the tests, they created an exact copy of the Rare Medals, which was the First Medal. Before the Medals were mass produced and commercialized, the company decided to downgrade the First Medal, something that Dr. Maizu Zora was against, as he felt the company should make their Medals as powerful as the First Medal. Dr. Aki explained to him that their Medabots do not need such an advanced combat program, but Dr. Maizu was not satisfied and secretly formed a team to create copies of the First Medal. This made Zuru realize that the Medal his father gifted to him when he was younger was one of the copies he created, and as a First Medal, Roks may be able to use the Medaforce. Zuru then began practicing the Medaforce with Roks. Having trouble to make Roks access the Medaforce, Zuru decides to ask Ikki about the Medaforce. Ikki does not know the details as it is a mystery even for Dr. Aki, but it is theorized that it is possible due to him and Metabee being best friends and always together, except when he goes to school, the Medaforce apparently being activated thanks to the union of their minds and spirits. This causes Roks and Zuru to grow closer. One night, Roks asks Zuru why he hates Kilobots. Zuru reveals that his father got so absorbed on his research that he basically became a different person, ignoring his family to pursue building the strongest Kilobots at Extreme Tech, and the only way he knows how to strike back at his father is by destroying Kilobots. This made Roks realize that Zuru wished for his father to be like he was before, and Zuru remembered his father saying that Medabots are not just machines, they are friends. Feeling sad, Zuru hugs Roks, and Roks swears that he will do whatever he can to help, including learning the Medaforce, increasing the bond between them. The next day, Ikki and Metabee head to Ms. Nae's shop to get a routine check up. It was a busy day, as Nae got a big line of Medabots waiting, when Banjo appears. Banjo decided to attack Nae's shop to see if he can draw out the Mystery Medafighter to face Tyrelbeetle. Redrun and Metabee again battle, and Metabee begins to lose when Roks comes flying in in Demolition Mode. Banjo asks the Mystery Medafighter to use Tyrelbeetle, but the Mystery Medafighter stated he won't use Tyrelbettle unless Redrun can defeat Roks. Not considering him a challenge, Banjo mocks Roks by asking for both him and Metabee to attack Redrun together, and Zuru immediately commands Roks to use the Medaforce. Roks doesn't fully succeed at accessing the Medaforce, and Metabee is forced to attack Redrun to save the tired Roks, with Redrun throwing Metabee on some of the Medabots in Nae's shop. Ms. Nae condemns Banjo for his actions, but Banjo does not care and says that Redrun can break all the Medabots in the shop if necessary, which angers Ikki. Ikki asks the Mystery Medafighter to use the Medaforce again, and to believe in Roks. Although Roks is exhausted, this time Roks successfully uses the Medaforce, but like when Metabee used it, it appears to be having no effect. While Roks is attacking, Ikki and Metabee decide to try the Medaforce as well, accepting Banjo's earlier offer to attack Redrun together, and their combined Medaforce attack is able to defeat Redrun. This also gives Banjo his first defeat in a Robattle. Roks and Zuru realize that their spirits are now one, and it causes Metabee to comment about how tiring the Medaforce can be, so Ikki teases him to get his energy back up. However, they now know that the Medaforce works against Kilobots.

I, Kilobot
Sun, Jan 11, 2004 24 mins
Suzie was bored and watched a Robattle between Tak's Komandog and a kid's Hamshin. Nearby, Suzie saw how Spyke and Sloan did everything for Samantha, and she wished to also have someone to do everything for her. She tries to convince Minitora and Kintora, but as they ran away from her, she decided to try convincing Tak. Later, Tak and Komandog were challenged by a Rogue Medafighter, and his Brownbison defeated Komandog with ease. Suzie appears and tries to convince Tak to help her test a Kilobot, which would give him an edge in Robattles, but Tak refuses. In Nae's shop, Tak is frustrated with how easily he lost, and wonders if the problem is with his Medabot. Ikki says that it is easy to blame the Medabot when feeling down, but Komandog is a good Medabot and they only need to train more. Tak says it is easy for Ikki to say that as he has a strong Medabot, and training is boring, throwing away his Medawatch and running from the shop. Seeing what happened, Suzie tries to convince Tak again, asking where is his Medabot and saying that no one likes losing, and she convinces Tak to at least try using a Kilobot, saying that she will lend a Kilobot for him. Suzie goes after Minitora and Kintora, tricking Minitora to lend his Kilowatch to her by saying that it has a problem that needs to be fixed, but actually takes it to Tak, saying that he can do whatever he wants with it without worry. With Minitora's Unitrix, Tak manages to win several Robattles without difficulty due to his power and to reloading ammo during matches. Tak is happy with his winning streak, but when he tries to talk with Unitrix, he remembered that Kilobots lack personality. Ginkai watched Tak's matches and appeared to warn that being a Rogue Medafighter can be quite lonely, but that probably will not matter as long as he keeps winning, right? Tak says that he is right, and now he can win even against him and Ikki. Ginkai says he can have it his way, but warns to never overestimate himself, as his personality is about as good as his skills, and leaves. Tak feels a little down, but Suzie says that Ginkai left because he was afraid of Tak now that he became too powerful, and they should show his power to Ikki and Metabee too. Tak agrees, saying that he will show them that he was right. At night, Tak calls Ikki and combines to Robattle with him in the next day. Ikki brings Komandog with him, thinking Tak will want to Robattle with his Medabot, but Tak tells him to keep Komandog and shows that he now has Unitrix, and they Robattle. Metabee keeps avoiding Unitrix and asks Ikki why he does not want to attack, and Ikki says that he wants Metabee to win without shooting to show Tak that it is not the parts you use, but how you use them that decide the victor, and that the Kilobots are not the answer for winning in Robattles. Metabee wonders how they can even win without shooting, but agrees to try Ikki's plan. The battle drags on for some time, with Tak reloading Unitrix's ammo several times, but despite this, he is unable to land a single hit on the evasive Metabee, while Metabee managed to throw a large rock on Unitrix. Tired of waiting, Suzie decides to help Tak by calling Ambiguous 2 to sneakily take down Metabee, but Komandog noticed what Suzie was planning and tries to stop her, without success, with Ambiguous 2 attacking Komandog. Before they do too much damage, Ginkai and Arc-Dash show up to protect Komandog and challenge Suzie, but Suzie decides to leave. Back to Ikki and Tak, Metabee finally manages to win by using a plank as an improvised board to slide down a pile of cement to gain momentum and hit Unitrix, the impact being strong enough to defeat Unitrix. Ginkai shows up, impressed that Metabee won against Unitrix without firing a single shot, and tells Tak that it is not how much power you have, but how you use it, that matters. Ginkai also says that Suzie tried to interfere with the match, but Komandog stopped her. Tak hugs Komandog, apologizing for what he did, and Ikki returns Tak's Medawatch. Later, Tak searches for Suzie and returns the Kilowatch for her, saying that he will no longer need it as he has Komandog, and Suzie laments that her plan failed. Minitora appears alongside Kintora to ask Suzie about his Kilowatch, but instead of returning it, Suzie places his Kilowatch on a cat that was passing nearby and startles the cat, forcing Minitora and Kintora to chase the cat to retrieve it.

Minitora and Kintora are chatting about their current state with Kam while doing the maintenance from their Kilobots. Kam said that he will not give any more parts to them until they can win against a Medabot, and one starts blaming the other for their situation, calling each other weak. During their discussion, they see Ikki and Erika passing nearby. Erika invites Ikki to play in the amusement park tomorrow. They meet Nae during their chat, and in her shop she shows that she got a trophy for getting the highest score in Laser Bat, a shooting game in the park. Ikki decides that he will try the game. While leaving, Ikki tells Erika everything he likes about Nae, and says that Erika is not even close to Nae, upsetting her. Minitora and Kintora observed them and decide to also go to the park to challenge Ikki. In Laser Bat, Erika and Brass only got a score of 2 (Accuracy: 0.1%), winning a miniature of the high score trophy that is given as a consolation prize to all who get a score lower than 5. Ikki and Metabee got a score of 148 (Accuracy: 76%), getting in second place, only being behind Nae's record. Ikki taunts Erika, and he starts flattering Nae again, being amazed by her skills, and Erika got angry with him, saying that he obviously has a crush on Nae, and they start arguing. Minitora and Kintora then appear and attack Metabee with their Kilobots. Brass asks Erika to help, but Erika was so upset that she did not care, ending up getting on their way by accident. Metabee protects Brass from the attacks, and he ends up hitting an energy device in the park that shocks him. Minitora and Kintora run away when a staff member appears to see what was happening. Apparently, the fight damaged Metabee's target scope, which made it difficulty for him to see. Erika apologizes, but Ikki and Metabee say that it was not her fault, and Nae can later repair Metabee. After Ikki and Metabee leave, Erika noticed Minitora and Kintora pursuing them. Erika calls Nae and explain the situation to her, but as Nae was in the middle of an important experiment, she could not go right now. However, Nae explains to Erika what to do to repair Metabee. Erika starts gathering materials for the repairs while Brass searches for Ikki and Metabee. Minitora and Kintora continue chasing Ikki and Metabee, and the duo realizes Metabee was acting strange, possibly being damaged, seeing this as their best chance to get Metabee. After Erika and Brass find Ikki and Metabee, they run to the Ferris wheel, where Erika starts repairing Metabee. The repairs go well until Erika realizes that Metabee's lens was damaged. With time running out, Erika decides to break her camera and uses its lens as a replacement. With his vision restored, Metabee defeats Exor and Unitrix. With their defeat, Minitora and Kintora complain that Kam will no longer give free parts. Later, Nae arrives in the park and checks Metabee, and she compliments Erika for the good job. Transfusion Confusion
Sun, Feb 29, 2004 24 mins
In the middle of a Robattle between Ginkai's Arc-Dash and Kam's Blakbeetle. Arc-Dash is in disadvantage, having over 90% damage to the head part, but Ginkai comes up with a plan and they manage to win. Later, in Kam's home, Kam says he is disappointed with Blakbeetle's defeat, blaming her for his defeat, but Blakbeetle asks if they are not a team, which makes both of them responsible for the defeat, noting that Ginkai and Arc-Dash won as a team. Kam disagrees, saying that Ginkai and Arc-Dash, as well as Ikki and Metabee, are fools for relying on each other, believing that a Medafighter must not have emotional attachments with their machine so they will not become sad when it is time to get rid of it. Kam then orders Eddie to dispose of Blakbeetle, but Eddie advises Kam to reconsider and give Blakbeetle another chance, which he reluctantly agrees by warning Blakbeetle that this will be her last chance. Later, Kam and Blakbeetle challenge Ikki and Metabee to a Robattle when they were about to give Robattle lessons to Tak and other kids, with Blakbeetle saying that the best way to learn how to Robattle is in combat. Blakbeetle is determined to win, giving her best while Kam only watches, and manages to do over 90% damage to Metabee, but despite being stronger, in the end Metabee manages to win by following Ikki's instructions. Having enough of Blakbeetle's failures, Kam shuts her down and considers his experiment of giving emotions to a Kilobot a failure. Kam orders Eddie to dispose of her, and Eddie asks if he is sure about that, asking if he did not give emotions to a Kilobot to have a friend, but Kam considers the idea ridiculous, saying that Blakbeetle is just a machine. Before she is sent to be scrapped in Extreme Tech's waste disposal building, Eddie places her Medal back on her body, setting her to activate again after some time. Blakbeetle reactivates in time to notice she was about to be chopped by a large blade. Blakbeetle tries to avoid it, but the blade still damaged her. Blakbeetle is surprised to be still functional, and sees this as a chance to prove to Kam that she can still defeat Metabee, seeking for her opponent. Eddie was waiting for Blakbeetle outside the scrapping facility, and he explains what he did. Eddie laments for everything that Blakbeetle passed, but he believes that she has the potential to become Kam's friend, and should forget about Metabee for the time being. Blakbeetle disagrees because Kam would not accept her back until she defeats Metabee, which she must do. Eddie tells her to suit herself, but advises her to not try fighting against Metabee until she is repaired. Blakbeetle is not sure about what she should do, as her chances of winning against Metabee while injured are lower, but decides to seek her opponent. In Nae's shop, Nae is examining the damage caused by Blakbeetle in their earlier Robattle, noting that Metabee's power modulator needs to be replaced as soon as possible, but she has a spare one and can do it right away. Before Nae starts, Blakbeetle appears to challenge Metabee, but she can barely stand due to her pain. Nae examines Blakbeetle and sees that her power modulator is severely damaged, and she needs help urgently. Ikki and Metabee ask why Nae would help Blakbeetle, as she showed up wanting to fight with them, but Nae asks if they would not like to be helped if they were in a similar condition, leaving them speechless. Nae also says that currently she only has one spare part, and asks if it is okay to use the part she was going to use on Metabee to repair Blakbeetle, with Metabee agreeing due to her damage being more severe, and he only needs to avoid Robattling until Nae gets a new part. Blakbeetle dislikes the idea of being helped by her enemy, asking Metabee why he would help his rival, and Metabee says that if she wishes, they continue their rivalry and Robattle again after she gets better. At night, Eddie informs Kam that he was careless when he disposed of Blakbeetle, and Blakbeetle is now on the run. Eddie notes that they underestimated Blakbeetle's determination, saying that she is still feisty despite sustaining heavy damage and the trauma of being rejected by her master. Back to Nae's shop, Nae finished Blakbeetle's repairs, with Blakbeetle no longer feeling pain. However, Nae notes that the part she used is only similar to the one she had, and Blakbeetle should take it easy until her own mechanic does the proper repairs. Blakbeetle mocks them, calling them fools for saving an enemy instead of deactivating her for good when they had the chance. Metabee says that it does not matter Kam taught her, but for them, leaving her in the condition she was would be gut-wrenching. Blakbeetle does not understand the term, and Metabee explains that it is a feeling in the gut someone feels when doing something wrong, asking if Blakbeetle ever felt that, and Blakbeetle says she is not programmed with non-vital functions. Nae tries to explain to Blakbeetle that she is not simply a machine, that like Metabee, she has feelings. She may have sleeked Metabee to complete the order given by Kam, but instead of blindly following Kam's order and fighting when not in condition until the bitter end, she allowed them to help her. Blakbeetle rejects the idea of having feelings, saying that she is a Kilobot and may have only allowed that to ensure her survival. Nae says that it may be difficult for her to accept it, but she does have emotions. Angry, Blakbeetle attacks Metabee, calling them liars that are trying to turn her against her master, and Blakbeetle remembers her fight against several copies of herself, saying that she must fight to survive. Nae reminds Blakbeetle that both she and Metabee are not in condition to Robattle, and the repairs done are temporary, as Metabee gave the part that was supposed to be used on him for Blakbeetle. As steam starts coming out from Metabee and Metabee is not fighting back, Blakbeetle feels a discomfort in her replaced part and remembers what they said and did for her, and stops. Blakbeetle says that she achieved her survival, so further battle is unnecessary, and leaves. Kam finds Blakbeetle shortly afterwards, and he says that she proven her Medal, accepting her back. However, Blakbeetle feels something strange, believing that it must be the "gut-wrenching" feeling that Metabee had mentioned.

Gryphon Doom
Sat, Mar 6, 2004 24 mins
The strongest Kilobot, Gryphon, is almost complete. Extreme Tech runs a test with Blakbeetle's Neo Ex Medal, with Gryphon fighting against several Unitrixes, but Gryphon goes out of control and almost escapes from the test room. The researchers discover that the amount of input from Gryphon's system is too much for any Medal, including Blakbeetle's, who has the strongest Medal. Kam is not pleased with this and says that another test will be held tomorrow, saying that Blakbeetle only needs to learn how to deal with the amount of input. The experience left Blakbeetle shivering. Blakbeetle does not want to become Gryphon again, and Kam asks why, as she will become the strongest Kilobot. Blakbeetle explains that, while as Gryphon, she cannot concentrate, feeling like she is losing herself, preferring to remain as Blakbeetle to avoid it. Kam is intrigued by this, but says that it does not matter, as he is her master and she must do what he wants. During their argument, Eddie informs Kam that the home's generator will be shut down for 30 minutes for maintenance, so all electricity will be off. When Kam is not looking, Eddie hints Blakbeetle that while the electricity is down, a Kilobot could easily run away without being noticed, which Blakbeetle does. In the next day, Dr. Maizu informs Zuru that he needs to destroy Blakbeetle's Medal, of else they will be doomed. Zuru asks why, and Dr. Maizu says that Blakbeetle's Medal is the only one capable of supporting Gryphon's input, but if she cannot handle it, she will overload and go out of control, and with such a strong body, she will become unstoppable. Meanwhile, Ikki and Metabee are in a Robattle against Ginkai and Arc-Dash, and the Rogue Medafighters Suzie, Minitora and Kintora are using their Medanetboards to pursue Blakbeetle, finding her thanks to the transmitter Kam installed on her, with Kam believing that it is only a matter of time before she is captured. Eddie notes that Blakbeetle really does not want to become Gryphon, and Kam says that she has no choice, and to ensure that, once he places Blakbeetle's Medal on Gryphon, he will destroy her original body. Ginkai lost three straight matches, and as he made a bet, he had to purchase eight pocket pizzas for Ikki. Metabee complains that he got nothing despite doing all the work, and Ikki tells Metabee that he will later buy something for him with his lunch money. While leaving the food shop, they notice Blakbeetle running away from the Rogue Medafighters. They ask Suzie what is going on, but Suzie tells them to leave as it was none of their business. Wondering what is going on, they decide to follow the Rogue Medafighters, finding them attacking Blakbeetle while she is not even fighting back. Metabee and Arc-Dash defeat Unitrix and Ambiguous 2 to protect Blakbeetle, and the Rogue Medafighters say that Blakbeetle must be malfunctioning as she ran away. Ikki says that is not a malfunction, but a choice, but they refuse to listen and try to fight them, but their Kilobots were already defeated. As Kintora and Exor alone would not stand a chance against them, they decide to run away. Before Ikki and Ginkai can ask Blakbeetle what is going on, Zuru appears saying that he needs to destroy Blakbeetle's Medal. Roks follows Zuru's orders, but as Metabee takes a hit to protect Blakbeetle and admonishes Roks's actions, asking if he had not changed, Roks regrets his actions and apologizes to Zuru, saying that he cannot destroy Blakbeetle's Medal. While Kam is following Blakbeetle's signal, he receives a call from Henry McKenna, who is not pleased with Gryphon. McKenna believes that Gryphon is too powerful to be turned into a profitable product, as it would be too expensive for anyone to buy, suggesting to bring the prototype back to reduce its performance and make it more profitable. Kam cuts the call, saying that he still has plans for the Gryphon project. Ikki, Ginkai, Zuru, their Medabots, and Blakbeetle reunite in Nae's shop, where Nae repairs Metabee and Zuru explains what is happening. Zuru starts from the beginning, saying that his father, Dr. Maizu, worked with Dr. Aki in the Medabot Corporation. However, Dr. Maizu disagreed with Dr. Aki in many things, and left the company, taking several Medals and plans with him. One of the Medals he took ended up with Ginkai, becoming Arc-Dash. Nae remembers that Dr. Maizu was a good man, but when Extreme Tech hired him, all his designs were bent towards destruction. For a while, Dr. Maizu has been working on a top secret Kilobot design called Gryphon, the ultimate Kilobot. Gryphon is so powerful that only Blakbeetle's Neo Ex Medal is able to handle the amount of input. However, Dr. Maizu fears that even Blakbeetle would be unable to handle the input, and Blakbeetle agrees, being the reason she ran away. If Blakbeetle snaps and goes out of control while she is Gryphon, she may go on a rampage, similar to the one done by Redrun, but much worse, and with no way to stop it. As destroying Blakbeetle's Medal is not a good choice, everyone discusses what they should do to prevent Kam from recovering Blakbeetle. Roks suggesting placing her Medal in another body so Kam cannot find her, but they do not have a body able to handle her Kilobot Medal. Arc-Dash suggests that Blakbeetle should leave the city, but Roks asks how she will live without a master, as that is impossible. Kam then appears with Gryphon, saying that Blakbeetle has a master, and he wants Blakbeetle's Medal for Gryphon. When they are about to Robattle, Blakbeetle stops them by saying she will return to Kam and do as he wishes, as a Kilobot cannot live without a master, being better to take a chance and risk becoming a monster, than have nothing. After Kam and Blakbeetle leave, everyone wonders what they should do, and they need to hurry, as time is running out.

Final Goodbyes
24 mins
In Kam's home, Kam has just received word that the final test will be at noon the next day. Blakbeetle has one more day of freedom to go. Ikki, Metabee, Ginkai and Arc-Dash are on the river bank. Ikki and Metabee can't help but want to help Blakbeetle. Ginkai tells them that she made her choice, there's nothing they can do. Then Nae comes and says that Dr. Maizu has an idea to stop the final test. Everyone goes to Zuru's house. Dr. Maizu builds a back door through the Extreme Tech program. Then, once he gets in, he deletes all the data on Gryphon. However, even though Dr. Maizu had deleted all the data, Gryphon was already complete. Ikki and Metabee think it's up to them to save Blakbeetle, but Nae comes up with an idea. Nae goes to have a talk with Eddie in Kam's house. She asks him to cancel Gryphon's final test tomorrow, but he can't due to only being a butler, despite agreeing that Kam needs Blakbeetle's friendship. Nae suspects something, and she asks Eddie if he knows why Kam is so heartless. He explains that Mr. Kamazaki built this house when Kam was born. Mr. Kamazaki works in America, and although he returns to Japan several times, he is so busy that Kam has not seen him since he was very young. Kam and his mother were very close, however, she wasn't very well and passed away when Kam was 4 years old, and his father was not present when that happened. Kam became colder after this. Nae feels sorry for Kam, and she tries to convince Eddie to help Kam, as he is the only adult in Kam's life able to guide him. However, Eddie is afraid of losing his job and refuses, saying that he said too much and asking Nae to leave. Nae returns to her shop, where Ikki and the others are waiting for good news, but hear that Eddie will not help. Zuru then decides that the only solution is to destroy Blakbeetle's Medal, but Ikki and Ginkai disagree. Ginkai tells them that it was Blakbeetle's choice, and that they have no right to butt in. Soon, only Ikki and Metabee are left to save Blakbeetle. The next day, Kam and Blakbeetle are heading for Extreme Tech, and Eddie stays behind in Kam's home, just to have Ginkai show up, wanting to help Blakbeetle, saying that Ikki and Metabee are rubbing off on him. Meanwhile, Ikki, Metabee and Miss Nae are chasing after Kam in Nae's van. Eddie decides to give a ride to Ginkai. Ginkai does not know why Eddie said no to Miss Nae, but yes to him. Eddie says that watching the kids play brings back something he has not felt in a long time, and Ginkai believes he knows what he means, as he felt the same way before. When Eddie decides to take a shortcut in a rough path, Ginkai tells him to be careful or they will break down, and Eddie says that is not a bad idea. Ikki and Miss Nae finally catch up with Kam, just to have a police car catch up with them for speeding. Miss Nae tells Ikki and Metabee to go on while Nae talks with the police. Even in Action Mode, Metabee is unable to catch up, but Ikki gets a ride from some guy, and Metabee jumps in. On the side of the road, the Extreme Tech driver spots Eddie, looking at his car, as if it was broken. Kam wonders why Eddie is here and asks the driver to stop. While they are distracted with Eddie, Ginkai sneaks to the back of the truck to get Blakbeetle out. However, Ikki and Metabee arrive and ruin the whole thing by being loud. Kam orders Blakbeetle to attack Metabee, and she says that no matter how much she doesn't want to, Kam is her master and she must follow his orders. In the middle of the Robattle, Roks comes out of nowhere. Zuru orders Roks to destroy Blakbeetle, but Arc-Dash was able to stop Roks before he could do it. Blakbeetle starts firing at Arc-Dash and Roks (though it only hits Arc-Dash). Metabee jumps in the way, and tells them that this is between Blakbeetle and himself, and Ginkai convinces Zuru to let them Robattle. Despite the circumstances, both Metabee and Blakbeetle enjoy their Robattle. In the end, Blakbeetle has her cannon up against the back of Metabee's head. She thanks him for the last Robattle, which made her feel the true meaning of Robattle. But she will forget everything once she becomes Gryphon. Metabee tries one last attempt to convince her not to, and Kam gives the word for Blakbeetle to fire. Blakbeetle says "Thank you, my friend", before firing, defeating Metabee. Ikki picks up Metabee's medal, and tries to get through to Kam by saying that Blakbeetle doesn't want to become Gryphon, and just wants to be Kam's partner and friend. Kam asks if it is true, and Blakbeetle answers yes. Kam says, "very well then... time to become Gryphon." Then they get into the truck, and head for Extreme Tech. Ikki and Metabee are not willing to give up, and both Ginkai and Zuru say that they will help them get Blakbeetle back. So they all head for Extreme Tech.

Into the Fire
Sat, May 8, 2004 24 mins
Ikki, Metabee, Ginkai, and Zuru infiltrate Extreme Tech's laboratory and find Blakbeetle's body in the storage area for Kilobots that would be disposed. Kam appears and says that if Ikki and his friends fight against Gryphon and win, they can return the Neo Ex Medal to Blakbeetle.
