Marie Osmond's new, perfect-for-Mother's-Day book The Key is Love: My Mother's Wisdom, A Daughter's Gratitude (New American Library) became an instant New York Times best seller. No surprise there. It's a fantastic read, one of those rare personal stories where you learn lots about the subject and even more about yourself. Osmond, the mother of eight, and coauthor Marcia Wilkie write movingly yet unsparingly about the 2010 suicide of the star's son, Michael Bryan, but also pack the book with warm, practical advice from Osmond's late mom, Olive. TV Guide Magazine spoke with Osmond on the set of her Hallmark Channel daytime talk show Marie where, appropriately, she was preparing for a special Mother's Day episode (airing Thursday, May 9 at noon/11c).

We thought Tuc Watkins had the role of a lifetime as One Life to Live's madcap hedonist David Vickers. Turns out he's got an even greater role these days! Watkins will appear on the Hallmark Channel talk show Marie (Monday, April 29, noon/11c) and reveal for the first time that he's a gay single dad, telling host Marie Osmond that he recently welcomed twins Catchen and Curtis via surrogate.  The happily sleep-deprived star says the four-month-olds are just starting to giggle which "makes all those midnight feedings totally worth it."

Recent Oscar nominee Hugh Jackman sits down with Osmond for a three-part interview airing Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The pair shoots the bull in an intimate, one-on-one session sans audience, with Jackman dishing about Les Misérables (out on DVD/Blu-ray March 22), his personal life and his admiration for Osmond, whom he considers an "inspiration."
