The gymnasts at The Rock continue to pursue their dream of competing in the Olympics, while dealing with the dramas brought on by family, friends and relationships, in the second season of "Make It or Break It." After their triumph against the Chinese national team, the team must face the consequences of going against the U.S. Gymnastics National Committee. The arrival of men's Olympic champion Austin Tucker (Zane Holtz) shakes things up for the girls, particularly Kaylie (Josie Loren), and they must do battle with the boys. Payson (Ayla Kell) struggles to regain her form following injury, Lauren (Cassie Scerbo) is desperate to win the Miss Congeniality award and Emily (Chelsea Hobbs) experiences further money troubles. But the girls' problems are just beginning, and their future is threatened when the National Gymnastics Organization suspends their coach Sasha (Neil Jackson).
