20 Episodes 2009 - 2010
The first season of this drama series inspired by 2006 film "Stick It" follows the lives of teen gymnasts who strive to make it to the 2012 Olympics. Rookie Emily Kmetko (Chelsea Hobbs) begins learning gymnastics at The Rock, where best friends and teammates Payson Keeler (Ayla Kell), Kaylie Cruz (Josie Loren) and Lauren Tanner (Cassie Scerbo) have trained for years. The girls face a big setback when their head coach Marty Walsh (Erik Palladino) transfers, along with Lauren and several top gymnasts, to The Rock's rival gym, after being blackmailed by Lauren's father, Steve Tanner (Anthony Starke). Marty's replacement, former Olympic champion Sasha Belov (Neil Jackson), soon creates conflict with his strict coaching style, as the girls attempt to balance the demands of being top athletes with the teen temptations of partying and boys. Tensions are high as Nationals approaches, when secrets are revealed that endanger everything the gymnasts have worked so hard to achieve.
