Episode 1

Release the Blandings

The FishHeads are always ready to help a water pal - whether they have fins or not. So today they're working with the Toronto Zoo and Parks Canada to release some young Blanding's Turtles into the Rouge National Urban Park in an effort to restore the population of these smiling turtles.

Leech Gathering

The FishHeads are teaming up to help world renowned expert, Sebastian Kvist from the Royal Ontario Museum, to collect an unlikely subject for a museum exhibit: Leeches.

Spotting Gar

Today the FishHeads are on the hunt for a creature that looks more like an alligator than a fish. it's all in a day's work for Christian and Sayat as they help the Department of Fisheries and Oceans check up on this endangered fish in Rondeau Bay Provincial Park.

Episode 4

Bring Back the Brookies

Sayat and Christian are joining the SWAT team from Trout Unlimited to help restore the habitat and check in on the troubled Brook Trout as they hope to Bring Back the Brookies.

Episode 5

Splake Planting

Sayat and Christian brave the snow and ice to help the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry release a hybrid Trout species known as Splake to its rightful home.

Vampires of the Deep

It's trapping time. Christian and Sayat are working with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and the Great Lakes Fishery Commission to help remove some of these bloodsuckers from the system and make life a little less scary for the native fishes.

Invasion of the Rusty Crayfish

The FishHeads are helping out Jessica Fang from the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority to help remove these lobster-like bullies from a local river because they are making life very hard for the local water community.

Gentle Giants

This giant fish can live up to 100 years old and were around at the time of the dinosaurs. Sayat and Christian are helping the team from Ontario Power Generation to net and tag the endangered Lake Sturgeon.

Episode 10

Fishing with Alewife

Leo has called in the FishHeads scuba team to dive and get a closer look at the Alewife in Lake Ontario. While Sayat and Christian will first learn more about this invasive but helpful fish at Ripley's Aquarium and then head out onto Lake Ontario with professional fisherman Greg from Fishing 4 Tales to see if they can catch a rainbow trout and better understand how they are keeping the Alewife population in check.

Trappin' Snappers

The FishHeads are out on a lake in Algonquin Provincial Park, trapping Snappers with the team from the Algonquin Wildlife Research Station to check up on these ancient and misunderstood creatures.

Episode 12

Bug Hunting

Leo's tummy is rumbling. Christian and Sayat are working with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority to check up on the bug population in a local river. No bugs - no fish. Leo is hoping they find A LOT of bugs.

Suckers

Leo is sending her team out with Jon and Phil from the Credit Valley Conservation to do some electro-fishing to check up on one of her favourite fishes - the often maligned White Sucker.

Episode 14

Border Control

The FishHeads are off to the Toronto Zoo to learn more about one of the biggest threats to the Great Lakes - the Asian Carps. Then they're heading out onto the lake with the survey team from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans to make sure there are no Asian Carps threatening the local fish community.

Mussel On

The FishHeads get mucky with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans in the Thames River to unearth a hidden species at risk, the Wavy-Rayed Lampmussel and learn about their very special relationship with the small-mouth bass.

Hot Water

Sayat, Christian and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans conduct an experiment that puts the Eastern Sand Darter in hot water - literally.

Episode 17

Walking With The Fishes

Sayat and Christian go under the sea with Parks Canada in Bay of Fundy National Park and walk across the ocean floor - during low tide, of course.

Bowfin

Electro-fishing, radio transmitters and a dinosaur fish...?. The FishHeads can't wait to help out the team from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans as they learn how they keep track of the prehistoric Bowfin.

Cutthroat Trout

Right in Lake Ontario with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, the Fishheads discover the Bowfin: a prehistoric, bony fish that has been swimming around since the age of dinosaurs.

Mission: Wetlands

The FishHeads are helping Parks Canada to clear the wetlands from invasive species so the frogs have a safe home. Ribbit.

Tagging Trout

When the trout come out, so do the FishHeads. They're in Algonquin Provincial Park to help the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry tag and collect data on the important species.

Episode 22

Counting Mysids

Sayat and Christian venture out into the darkness with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, as it's the only way to find the tiny, invisible crustacean critter the Mysid.

Episode 23

Salmon in the City

Sayat and Christian divide and conquer to help the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority assist the Salmon on its arduous journey upstream.

Episode 24

Hot Dog!

Sayat and Christian team up with a group of ecologists from Conservation Halton to find a fish that looks like a hot dog - the Silver Shiner.

Episode 25

Bay Pipefish

In beautiful British Columbia with Parks Canada, the FishHeads discover the Bay Pipefish, a slender species from the seahorse family.

Episode 26

Snorkelling with Salmon

It's a FishHeads dream come true as Parks Canada helps Christian swim with the Atlantic Salmon in Bay of Fundy National Park, New Brunswick.
