An adaptation of the German children's novel "Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver" (1960) by Michael Ende. The main setting of the introduction is a tiny island called Morrowland. It has a king and a railway system but very few residents. When the king decides to have the locomotive "Emma" removed from the island, the locomotive engineer Luke decides to leave the island. He converts Emma into a makeshift ship and sails away. The mysterious foundling child Jim Button decides to sail away with Luke. The travelers soon arrive on the empire of Mandala, where they find the emperor in mourning. Princess Li Si, the emperor's beloved daughter, has been kidnapped. She is held prisoner in Dragon City. The travelers start a quest to rescue the damsel in distress, and they are soon joined by strange traveling companions.
