New host Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and judge Juliet Ashworth also appraise the house and give it scores out of 10.

After the total score has been revealed, the two highest scoring couples go through to the Grand Final, and each win $10,000 to put towards creating their ultimate Instant Hotel for the final.

At the end of their stay, the other couples have to decide as a jury how much to rate the place out of 10 in each of four criteria, value for money, location, the house and the comfort of the night's sleep. Host Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and judge Juliet Ashworth also give four scores each out of 10 on similar criteria, except that the night's sleep is replaced by the transformation of their home.

Grand Final Part 2: Gene & Sharon

Host Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and judge Juliet Ashworth also give four scores each out of 10 on similar criteria, except that the night's sleep is replaced by the transformation of their home, after which the scores are added up and the couple with the higher score are announced as the winners and receive the A$100,000 grand prize.
