Miguel is a 10-year-old boy whose quiet life in a remote rural village is disrupted when, at the bottom of a hidden hole, he discovers Felipe, a boy who at first is convinced he is a ghost. A secret friendship grows between them, but Miguel soon realizes a much darker truth: Felipe has been kidnapped, and all signs point to the culprits being the very people he thought he knew best.
