The eighth and final season of House (and the first season not to feature Lisa Edelstein in the role of Dr. Cuddy) finds the abrasive doctor (Hugh Laurie) serving in a jail both as an inmate and an invaluable confidant to Dr. Jessica Adams (Odette Annable), the prison doctor. House is made the new Dean of Medicine upon his release and subsequent return to the hospital, though he finds much has changed in the hospital during his absence. House former colleague Thirteen (Olivia Wilde) returns for a final, dramatic appearance. Other additions to the cast include Charlene Yi, a brilliant, though under-confident doctor with whom House develops an unlikely rapport.
