Preparations for a Christie's auction house premiere event; Hugo Weir, international director at Christie's appears. Kalyani Chawla is a brand ambassador with Christian Dior. Staff travel to random units to scrutinize for even the smallest of defects. World travelers Suzie and Peter Noble use a vintage Lanchester Motor Company to get around Mumbai and beyond. Bernard Steinrucke is president of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife Ranjana live in the hotel. Anoushka Shankar plays music for guests; she lived in the hotel for part of her childhood. During the 1950s, the owner family were active patrons of a new generation of top Indian artists; the hotel maintains a collection of their work. Interviewed attendees include art dealer Conor Macklin, Christiane Serra, and Princess Francoise Sturdza of Greece.
