Curtain Call

Eps 8: Curtain Call (1959-1980s). This episode focuses on the resurgence in the popularity of the Stooges. They star in six feature-length films, including 'Have Rocket--Will Travel,' and 'Snow White and the Three Stooges.' During this time, the Stooges made cameos in two Hollywood-produced features. Products include records, toys, and comic books. The Stooges appear in sold-out "live" concerts across the country. Beginning in the late 1940s, the Stooges made TV appearances and TV commercials. TV Programs and specials with Eddie Cantor, Ed Wynn, Frank Sinatra, Danny Thomas, Ed Sullivan, and Steve Allen. The feature films are dubbed into many languages and shown around the world. Tragedy strikes Larry Fine with lose of family members. Moe Howard appears at colleges across the country. Alone, and with partners, Joan Howard Maurer writes a series on books about the Stooges. Paul Howard separates himself from the Three Stooges.
