It's the 1980s and at McKinley High, there's two different groups of teenagers, the Freaks with cool and charismatic Daniel Desario and tomboy Lindsay Weir and the Geeks with Lindsay's shy younger brother Sam, gentle Bill Haverchuck, and self-proclaimed ladies' man Neal Schweiber. The show chronicles the normal teen/adolescence problems any teenager goes through including acceptance, drugs, drinking, and bullying.

At the FX upfront programming presentation Thursday, network chief John Landgraf officially announced plans to launch a new, younger-skewing network called FXX in September.Fall TV Scorecard: What's renewed? What's canceled?The new network joins FX and FXM (formerly the Fox Movie Channel) in Fox Cable Networks' suite of channels and will officially launch on Sept. 2. But... what about "Ocean's Eighteen"?! A&E has shot a pilot for Celebrity called Garage Sale (yes, it's come to this), in which indie actress Illeana Douglas helps her celeb pals unload unwanted junk. We have animated shows suitable for kids (Avatar Season 2, Volume 3; Legend of the Dragon Season 1; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Season 1, Volume 1; Stuart Little; Hero High), and an animated show NOT for kids (Afro Samurai). There are comedies (Kitchen Confidential: The Complete Series; Scrubs Season 5), dramas (The OC: Season 4; The Magnificent Seven Season 2; Roots), and even a sci-fi series (Kyle XY Season 1).
