Maidenwater Spring in Garfield County, Utah: Lina Reyes Geddes' remains were found on the side of a road north of Lake Powell in 1998. The case went cold for 20 years. But, when an avid true crime hobbyist connects this Utah Jane Doe to an Ohio missing persons case, law enforcement detectives work hard to solve the decades-old murder. In the end, her killer was her husband, Edward Geddes, solved by DNA. There was no justice for Linda. Edward died by suicide in 2001.

January 13, 2010, 2020 Appaloosa Way, Conyers, Georgia: A young mother, Jarmecca Yvonne "Nikki" Whitehead, age 34, is found murdered in the bathroom of her home in the Bridle Ridge Walk subdivision in Conyers. There are two young suspects with ample motive, but an unusual police interview and security camera footage have law enforcement investigators puzzled. In the end, Nikki Whitehead was murdered by her own 16-year-old identical twin daughters, Jasmiyah Kaneesha Whitehead and Tasmiyah Janeesha Whitehead. The girls often went by their nicknames "Jas and Tas". In 2014, in plea bargains, both girls pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and were sentenced to 30 years in prison, with the possibility of parole. The twins are incarcerated at separate prisons in Georgia.

In the end, both Justin Clay White, age 25, of College Park, and Dominique Rashad Stevens, age 22, of Atlanta, were indicted for the murder.
