Season 9 of the reality show brings big changes, with designer Jeff Lewis facing difficulties in his professional life. After a lucrative job with a major furniture company and business with high-end clients go south, Jeff goes back to his first passion—house flipping. However, the dip in business and lost income force him to move his entire household, which includes his partner, Gage, and his maid, Zoila, into a flip house that is currently under construction. A home with no kitchen and missing walls puts everyone's patience to the test as Jeff begins to question Zoila's role in the household. Jeff's anxiety also heightens as he and Gage decide to have a baby. Jeff's assistant, Jenni Pulos, wants a second child but finds out it's harder than she expected.
