The rookie recruits are being put through their paces at the North Cascades Smokejumper base, where smokejumping was born. These brave rookies are going to have to prove they have what it takes to be smokejumpers. Three strikes are all it takes and those dreams will be dashed. Some are already off to a bad start. While the rookies are learning the ropes, hardened veterans are being tasked with fighting the wildfire named Discovery, which is growing quickly and starting to get out of control. Rick Woodall will be in charge of leading his men in to battle this blaze and hopefully come out on top.
