10 Episodes 2013 - 2013
In this enjoyable sitcom, which was based on the British-TV comedy "White Van Man," middle-aged Tony Shea (J.K. Simmons), who runs a fix-it business, develops heart problems, which necessitate having his luckless, prodigal screw-up son Jack (Kyle Bornheimer) return home to take over the family operation. As the new Mr. Jiffy-Fix, Jack inherits slacker co-worker Darren (Edi Gathegi) and sets out to make a go of the biz. Jack's vocational track record, however, isn't good, having been tossed out of the military, the police academy and the seminary (three times). And having a buttinsky father constantly looking over his shoulder and throwing a monkey wrench into things isn't exactly a blueprint for success either. On the plus side, Jack gets encouragement and help from his sassy and opinionated Aunt Terry (Leah Remini) and square-peg cousin Mason (Johnny Pemberton), to whom he becomes a big-brother figure. Also in Jack's corner is Darren's saucy, sexy and flirtacious sister Stitch (Danielle Nicolet), who runs the local hardware store where Jack does plenty of business and Stitch isn't shy about giving him the business.
