Veterans and newcomers compete against each other in the fifth season of this reality series. Eight aspiring makeup artists and eight contestants from previous seasons try to prove who's the best artist of them all. Guest judges this season include Bryan Fuller, Catherine Hardwicke and Cassandra Peterson, famous for portraying the character Elvira. Throughout the season the contestants are tasked with developing a futuristic version of Frankenstein's monster and his bride; turning a male model into a female demon; and creating a mother nature goddess that is inspired by the contestant's own mothers.
