Save the River

Gaia white-water rafts to a remote eco-lodge where she meets locals who stopped the river being dammed. She visits hot-springs, a hydroelectric dam, an active volcano and helps build an artificial reef from unlikely recycled materials.

Gaia Vince concludes her visit to Cosa Rica by meeting a 99-year-old cowboy, taking a canoe trip to meet the indigenous Bribri people and watches thousands of Olive Ridley Turtles come ashore to lay eggs.
