Jimmi gives a careers talk, but it is a teacher with a secret who needs his help. Joe and Emily come to terms with her diagnosis. Nick builds a home gym to help him walk again. George and Ronnie continue their marriage counselling.

Words Left Unsaid

Joe visits a dying author and his three warring daughters. Emily tries to share her diagnosis with friends in Boston by phone. Daniel and Archie's rivalry escalates. Nick and Emily have lunch.

Speak Up

Michelle finds a homeless man, whose only word is her name. It turns out she did know him 10 years ago. Daniel and Archie face dismissal for the fight. George begs Ronnie to continue counselling. Joe reaches a decision for Emily's sake.

All in a Name

Joe tells Daniel he and Emily are leaving for Boston, then breaks it to Julia and Nick. Ronnie is contacted by a 15 year old who wants to change his name without telling his parents. Daniel and Archie are back at work and being teased.

Lady Muck

Everybody misses Joe and Julia worries Daniel will be trouble. Archie makes a house call to a woman with a nosy cleaner. At the station, a homeless lady off her meds demands to see Jimmi. She gets upset about him and Eva and drinks more.

Stabbed in the Back

Eva investigates the attack Jimmi's patient witnessed. Melody begs Archie to ignore Daniel, who tells a trucker he needs time off work for an operation: but his boss and his wife think he should move the appointment. The Mill's endangered.

Eye of the Beholder

Michelle gets a shock when she treats a woman at a remote house. Maisie is scared or reprisals and does not want to talk to Eva about what she saw, despite Jimmi's support. Ronnie and George continue with their fragile living arrangements.

And the Winner Is...

Vivien gets annoying phone calls about a competition and one of the nurses gets a mystery gift. At the station, Jimmi encourages Maisie to focus on the case, not him and Eva and their lost baby. George tries to rush Ronnie.

Searching

Nick treats a troubled girl in care, who wants to see her mother, but her situation is not all that simple. Daniel helps George to get a discreet test. Maisie does not give up on Jimmi and Eva, but Eva gives Jimmi some unexpected news.

Archie treats a grumpy traffic warden near retirement, who would rather see a doctor. Julia and Vivien think life is too quiet, then Julia hears something interesting at the PCT meeting. Eva is keeping away from Jimmi before her move.

Jimmi is determined to prove himself, but his police surgeon lecture doesn't go to plan. Melody reassures an anxious young mum, but the head of the mother and baby unit comes in with serious concerns leading Melody and Julia to butt heads.

Melody stops to help a wheelchair user after she is attacked and misses Julia's staff meeting on their bid for The Campus Surgery. The patient's new neighbour offers to keep an eye, but her doting cousin says she wants to be independent.

Imitation of Life

Ronnie seems unmoved by George's test results. Vivien cannot believe her friend from the WI is suddenly going to Hong Kong with her brother. Melody encourages Julia to involve Daniel in the Campus bid, but it backfires.

The Homecoming

Jimmi bumps into a new mum, whose husband is a soldier returning home to meet his son. Eva and a fast tracked graduate search for a baby boy taken from hospital. A dramatic turn of events could alter Jimmi and Eva's futures.

The Hex

Archie gives travel jabs to a man who believes his partner's daughter has put a curse on him: he then gets sick. Julia is snowed under preparing the bid and Michelle helps Ruth try to secure her job. Ronnie gets jealous all over again.

Ronnie takes George to a wife swapping party, but doesn't tell her what kind of party it is. She's a bit shocked.

Little Brother

It's the day of the big pitch to the PCT and Julia's running round like a headless chicken. When Nick gets involved in the aftermath of a stabbing, she is forced to rely on Daniel for the presentation. Ronnie and George are finally happy.

Larp

Michelle's perplexed when a barbarian warrior comes in for treatment. Someone has to step in when he battles an elf in reception over an elfin princess. Julia is on edge all day waiting to hear if they have won The Campus Surgery contract.

Ruth is nervous about beginning her receptionist training under a fierce Vivien. Melody helps a pregnant friend who worries her husband is drinking again. Eva investigates a hit and run. Nick goes for a walk.

Making Your Bed

A woman drags her husband in to see Nick about his apparent impotence, then Nick's next patient is the same man's secretary, who is pregnant. Nick tries to get the man to take charge of his situation.

Making a Splash

Ronnie and Eva go head to head on a live radio show and everyone is listening with interest. Julia keeps a close eye as the new campus surgery is decorated and Ruth gets to grips with the computer booking system.

Photo Finish

Jimmi invites a famous ex-student to the grand re-opening of The Campus Surgery. Everyone is there, but the day takes a shocking turn when a dead body is found. Ruth seems to know something and Eva considers her and Julia to be suspects.

Cat Fight

The police still have The Campus Surgery cordoned off and Julia worries the reputation of the practice is ruined. Archie visits an asthmatic man who needs to get rid of his cat for the sake of his health. Jimmi asks Eva to change her mind.

Ruth is feeling under pressure at The Campus and Michelle reassures her. Daniel is worried about an addict not taking his medication and being influenced by an army buddy. Michelle is impressed when Davey brings Ruth flowers.

At The Campus, Melody treats a film studies student hinting she may be sleeping her way to better grades, another with headaches and a lecturer in about teeth grinding. Jimmi makes one last attempt to persuade Eva to stay (he sings).

Davey has charge of Ruth's surgery keys. Vivien goes to war with the bus company. A pregnant woman, living in a squat comes in; Ruth is tempted to help the man who comes in searching for her. Eva tries to make Jimmi's flat feel like home.

Sweet Success

Ruth is still unnerved by the surgery-of-death stigma. Vivien resolves to pass a driving test and buy a car. Nick calls in a patient who runs a chocolate shop, to reduce her medication. Her son has a rash he says is from all the chocolate.

The Ticking Clock

Eva makes Jimmi an offer, then he advises Vivien at a car auction. Julia needs ideas to save the reputation of The Campus Surgery. George gives bad news to a pregnant woman, who blames her cheating ex, not her handsome lecturer partner.

What the World Needs Now

Eva cracks down on drugs gangs, but also goes head-to-head with the local vicar. Vivien is delighted with her new car, but the male staff make fun of her and dent her confidence. Everyone goes to Julia's for a tense brain storming session.

Holding On

Julia has a hangover, but still has to give Vivien a driving lesson. Michelle tries to find out why Ruth couldn't come to the staff meeting at Julia's. Melody sees a woman with gallstones, who refuses treatment and has a family secret.

Life's a Beach

Archie 's favourite deli is targeted by environmental health after students at a beach party fall ill. Jimmi is upset that Eva has gone ahead and advertised his flat for sale. Vivien looks around for a replacement driving instructor.

It's a Sin

Vivien channels her inner Jeremy Clarkson for her driving lesson with Jimmi. Everyone else is at the university promoting the surgery: Michelle has a battle over a couple who think contraception is a sin and Davey keeps an eye on Ruth.

Nick sees a face from the past who insists on getting an appointment with him. A mysterious man is also keen to see Nick. Davey continues to control Ruth in secret. Jimmi has to give Vivien another driving lesson and view a house with Eva.

Archie and Daniel play off against each other treating an arts student hiding a dark secret. Julia wants Nick to make more of an effort mentoring Melody. Ruth tries to get out of drinks with Davey and Michelle.

A couple with a love/hate relationship need George's help. The husband sees a doctor, then has news for his wife. Michelle and Ruth are awkward after Davey's behaviour the night before. Melody takes steps to get Nick to mentor her properly

DI Eva rushes to the rescue when Jimmi gets stuck on a 786 bus with a suspected suicide bomber, a racist, a pregnant woman and a Catholic old lady. Vivien and Melody both stress over upcoming tests, but Melody has a plan to help Ruth.

The Appointed Hour

Ruth joins Michelle and Melody for a girls' night in and make-over, but hasn't told Davey. Vivien attends a driving theory class and meets a woman whose religious sister is convinced she will die that night. Ruth regrets drinking too much.

Ruth tries to hide what Davey did. Michelle wants her to open up and admit he is controlling her, but Melody advises caution. Julia's friend has dementia and her blind daughter is back for an important day on top of her media appearances.

Ruth's not sure she can accept Michelle's help and really leave Davey. Nick sees a woman suffering panic attacks and her husband: is she right to think he is up to no good? Melody plans a romantic meal for Archie, but they get a surprise.

George's patient is against vaccines and her daughter's sent home from nursery with suspected measles. Melody's enjoying having her brother to stay, leaving Archie sidelined. Michelle lets Ruth stay and takes her home to collect her stuff.

Eva and her new DS disagree when investigating the discovery of a body. Jimmi has to give Vivien another driving lesson and shows her his and Eva's new house. Archie plays football with JJ. Ruth is overcome with gratitude to Michelle.

Michelle's patient with fertility issues wants to make the food healthier in her father's restaurant, because she is worried about his health. Melody bumps into an old boyfriend from school and tries to make Archie jealous.

Michelle examines a woman acting as her sister's surrogate , having feelings for the father. George asks Daniel about gambling during his supervision process, making him defensive. Vivien checks up on Ruth repeatedly. Melody wants a break.

A woman seems unmoved when she finds a man dead at the foot of her stairs, meanwhile Eva deals with a woman reporting her husband missing. Melody asks for time off work to help JJ. Vivien comes home while two youths are robbing the place.

Vivien wakes up the morning after and should be taking her driving test, but the day does not go as imagined. She treats a knife wound on her wrist and she calls the police, but she only tells one person what the intruders did to her.

Vivien goes into work and minimises the effect 'the burglary' has had on her. Jimmi is still sworn to silence. Melody refuses to even look at Archie. Nick treats an overwhelmed mum and Ronnie is asked to act against her in a custody case.

Archie visits a man, who he feels could benefit from moving to a care home. Who is Raymond and why is the man's wife so defensive? Michelle throws a boy out of her room after she has her bottom pinched and there are accusations of assault.

Julia's friends are in reduced circumstances and the husband now works in a warehouse. George and Nick are put at odds again when Melody asks to have her supervision reviewed. Vivien is still keeping her trauma bottled up.

George's patient is depressed after losing a child. When a toddler goes missing, she claims it's her son. Daniel cooks for Melody after she has had a bad day, but is he being more than just a shoulder to cry on? Jimmi tries to help Vivien.

Melody treats a widowed, rich family friend who has just met an intriguing sleepwalking young woman. But he doesn't tell Melody about the flashbacks he is getting.

It is hay-fever season and Nick and Melody are overrun with sneezing patients. He makes time to track down a heart patient with an strenuous outdoor hobby and she helps a would-be reporter by writing a medical advice column for her paper.

A bored George and Ronnie are asked to be witnesses at the wedding of a heavily pregnant bride and foreign groom. Daniel is set an 'impossible' mission by Kay. Vivien reads about the latest rape in the paper, then a familiar face returns.

Old Green Eyes

Daniel's still in custody and Kay is not helping, by not telling the police the truth. Archie helps a cyclist after a crash and makes her boyfriend jealous. Joe catches up at The Mill and Eva comes in to question Vivien about the burglary.

One Dog Day

Daniel has promised Joe he will keep away from Kay, but she has other ideas. The items stolen during Vivien's attack are being fenced and the police are on the lookout. Joe visits The Campus and Melody speaks her mind.

Regular Fare

Ruth's uncle, a taxi driver, tells her about the lady in his life: someone who knew Ruth as a girl. Julia shows her holiday photos and Mal is in most of them. Vivien reluctantly attends a police identity parade and Joe gives moral support.

Nick tries to help an alcoholic father gain more access to his son but gets more than he bargained for. Michelle takes Ruth out shopping but becomes irritated by Ruth's copy-cat behaviour. Vivien sets out to meet the comatose elderly victim in hospital.

Michelle and Ruth see Daniel get punched in the face by a jealous husband and wonder if he deserved it. Eva tricks Jimmi into admitting he knew Vivien was raped. Ruth is still copying Michelle's clothes, hairstyle and make up.

Ronnie has his work cut out trying to defend an ex-con charged with arson. Vivien goes back and gives a full statement to Eva and has to relive her whole ordeal. Jimmi shows his concern for her.

Stranger in a Strange Land

The Campus Surgery is inundated with vomiting overseas students, so Julia is rushing back and forth. Mal (her holiday romance), arrives unexpectedly and waits in reception, where he comes to the aid of a student and catches Michelle's eye.

Mal is staying at Julia's and she's the topic of gossip as she acts like a love-sick teenager. Melody gives a check up to a diabetic fashion student pretending to follow medical and Mum's advice. Joe wants to pull his weight now he's back.

Part of You

Joe is hiding his ongoing headaches and makes a house call to a man hiding his kidney failure from his daughter, who is already furious about his pregnant younger girlfriend. George is curious about Julia and Mal and gatecrashes a picnic.

Number One Fan

Joe, despite his headaches, makes a house call to a grieving, agoraphobic woman obsessed with a French film star. Nick treats a woman who may be flirting with him. Julia still loves Mal quoting Shakespeare to her. Melody needs Joe's help.

Maximum Load

Archie carries out health checks in an office and gets stuck when the fire alarm goes off. Michelle shows an agency nurse - and friend of Archie - the ropes. Joe advocates for Daniel, while he is being tempted to take risks by Kay, again.

Observation

Daniel has to lie to Joe. One of Eva's detectives acts unprofessionally. George is determined to make the dinner party a success, but her interrogation of Mal makes her question his relationship with Julia even more. Michelle pursues Mike.

The Third Challenge

A man wakes up naked in the woods with a rash and makes his way to The Campus to be examined. Julia's still treating Mal and raising eyebrows at her generosity. Joe becomes suspicious of Daniel's promises about Kay. Ruth gets too involved.

The Universe Provides

Joe's day goes from bad to worse dealing with Daniel and Kay, Melody's supervision, the PCT and a compensation claim from George's complimentary treatment patient - all while Julia's away with Mal. Nick fends off his amorous patient again.

A student seeing hallucinations nearly jumps out of a window, but won't see a doctor. Joe recuperates at home and everyone blames themselves, so Daniel steps up and even Mal offers to help out. Michelle keeps up her charm offensive on Mike

It is George's big 40 and Ronnie is planning a surprise. His friend is an investigative reporter, whose big scoop, 'Girl X', is not real, so Ronnie rushes to help. Joe gets a visit from the police and Kay gets a nasty surprise.

Ronnie announces a surprise fancy dress party for George and invites everyone (but Nick). He feels the need to tell Mal Julia's past. Joe confronts Daniel. Melody treats a pregnant woman with a very worried husband. Julia is not happy.

True Colours

Ruth sees a graffiti 'artist' calling himself 'Baz' defacing the surgery name board. Michelle gets dolled up to pursue Mike for a relationship. Mal turns up to do DIY but Vivien catches him on the phone sounding suspicious. Exhausted Joe falls asleep in a board meeting. Regular plod bloke James takes details about the graffiti man from Ruth, but she finds he's used his tag on a surgery form. Nick spots pretty woman Caroline at the surgery.

Many of the regular staff go to a high tech fancy dress scavenger hunt, where Mal proposes to Julia. Joe meanwhile, having had enough of Daniel following his relationship with crazy Kay, throws him out of the house. Joe threatens to go back to Boston - but is that USA or Lincolnshire?

In the Dark

Julia considers Mal's proposal and Daniel has to fend for himself now Joe has left. Michelle considers her next move with Mike after their kiss. Nick sees a couple dealing with an affair, which the husband insists was in the past.

Everything Counts

Michelle's friend involves her in a complicated situation with her boss, who she is having an affair with, but who has a health worry. Mal has a job interview to prove he is worthy of Julia. Mike avoids Michelle. Daniel schmoozes Melody.

Action Replay

Daniel is still homeless and Archie suspects something is up. Nick treats a motorcyclist paralysed in an accident and also Ronnie's client, who is suing the man for causing the accident. George still has a hangover. Vivien gets a visitor.

Distractions

An agency nurse doesn't make a good impression at The Mill when her hand shakes. Archie catches Daniel sleeping at The Campus and mocks him. Michelle and Mike work closely together. After Nick's date with Caroline, Ronnie has a word.

Archie's prank humiliates Daniel so much he rings his mum. Julia supports staff and students at the university after a suicide: the boyfriend, tutor and best friend share guilt. Michelle keeps Mike guessing and Nick explains himself.

Michelle tries to tell everyone about her amazing date with Mike. An ex-smoker doesn't trust her partner, but her best friend urges her to stop being paranoid. Nick goes on a picnic with Caroline and her teenage son. Daniel is in Greece.

Archie is uncomfortable with a flirty patient, who seems to be being spied on, but all is not how it looks. Nick's plan to go to Caroline's without his chair falls at the first hurdle. Ruth tries to check if Mike is right for Michelle.

Flowers arrive at The Mill, then Julia gets a visitor she doesn't recognise. Jimmi treats a local MP with a heart problem, whose daughter works for the opposition candidate. Ruth tries to check if Mike is right for Michelle.

Mike treats a red-haired teenager with an itchy scalp and manages to indirectly upset Ruth again. Melody is back from visiting JJ and is forced to spend time with Archie. Nick is feeling sorry for himself after finishing with Caroline.

Eva meets up in the wood with a retired detective and serial killer, Mary Drake, to try to discover the whereabouts of the last body she buried. Vivien gets a date for the trial and Jimmi urges her to tell her workmates about her rape.
