They want a better layout to accommodate their lifestyle, but will not compromise their eco-friendly values. Genevieve embraces the challenge of creating a design using the most ecologically responsible materials available - including reclaimed mushroom wood, milk paint, and organic cotton. To the surprise of Tom and Ange, Genevieve also manages to find stylish CFL bulbs instead of the typical curly variety. Not only does Genevieve save Tom and Angelica's living room, but she also does her part towards saving the earth!

Homeowners Greg and Jill have a lot of ideas for their 1950's era kitchen. Not only do they want to update the room with touches of French, Moroccan, Spanish and modern styles, but they also are dead-set on dark brown cabinets. Genevieve must interpret Greg and Jill's disparate design requests and focus them into a beautiful and functional kitchen. Instead of dark brown, Genevieve wants the cabinets to be a warm gray - arousing Jill and Greg's skepticism. But the homeowners are more enthusiastic about the onyx countertop and rustic accents Genevieve plans to bring into the space. Genevieve and her team have to prove they can transform the run-down kitchen into a space that will satisfy all of Greg and Jill's design dilemmas.

Trevor and Gerthy's don't technically have a master bathroom. They have two small adjacent rooms - one with a shower and another one with a tub. Not only is the layout impractical, but both rooms lack style. Genevieve, inspired by Turkish bathhouses, plans to create one big room with head-to-toe tile. Large porcelain tile slabs with a marble finish cover the walls, while smaller glossy tiles are laid for the floor. Wood and golden accents throughout the room give the final result a luxurious exotic vibe.
