The Sky Is on Fire

The Centurions are taken to a special facility where they are developing a device known as a cryogenic ray which will cool down even the hottest of objects. But Doc Terror covets the cryogenic gun and has Hacker steal it for him. With the cryogenic ray in his possession, he sends out flying robots to set the Van Allen Radiation Belt on fire, which will cause a fire storm and raise the Earth's temperatures to the point where all life forms will become extinct. The Centurions must stop Doc Terror and retrieve the cryogenic ray before it's too late.

There Ace faces his old Air Academy comrade Sean O'Connor, who still holds a grudge against him over a girl. Max comes through to find himself in the undersea city of Atlantis, ruled by Princess Diana. She tells him of the city's century survival as well as the reluctance for communicating with the outside world. The princess refuses to ever let Max, Mei Lee and Jason. Meanwhile Diana's cousin Naro plots to take over Atlantis.

Ace is on Sealab that uses its new force field to descend to Atlantis' depth. Jake escapes and beams outside Sealab, where he tries to get on board. Max, the two from Sealab take Diana with them as they escape and uncover Naro's plans. Sean uses the Venus Probe to return to Sealab, where it is soon boarded by Naro. There Sean meets Ace and confesses he is still on his side. The Centurions and Diana have to fight Naro together.

On board of Skyvault, Terror uses the device to control all animals on Earth. Jake is attacked by his own faithful dog Shadow. Meanwhile Terror and Hacker prevent the other Centurions from beaming to Skyvault. Crystal manages to escape from Hacker and carefully moves until is able to reach the sector from which she could regain control over the computer.

Dr. Terror succeeds in creating a dimensional neutron vortex in Dominion. He has a new ally, Claw who has become a cyborg. Claw is also John Thunder's former sparring partner who holds a grudge against the Centurion for defeating him. Crystal concludes that the laws of reality will soon collapse due to the anomaly Dr. Terror has created. The Centurions lure Hacker into stealing a vital component for the vortex, while John sneaks on board Terror's airship to infiltrate Dominion. Successfully John arrives in Dominion but stumbles on his old rival Claw who captures him. Dr. Terror makes Hacker attack the SETI space probe station in the Andes to keep the rest of the Centurions occupied. Meanwhile his vortex breaks lose.

John finds a transmitter and contacts Skyvault, but the coordinates are unstable and the connection is bad because of the wandering vortex. However Crystal beams Ace, Jake, Max and Rex inside Dominion. John encounters Claw and this time their battle will be final. The others try to find a way to deal with the anomaly.

Meanwhile the other Centurions are fighting with the unleashed chaos in New York.

Man or Machine: Part 4

Crystal and John manage to regain control over Skyvault's computer with the disc. But Skyvault will be blown up with the strappers launched by the alien computer. Crystal and John restore the computer and the virus within to call off the attack. After that, Ace arrives with a reviving gun which will cure the computer. Crystal and John succeed into beaming Ace inside Skyvault and he achieves his mission. Meanwhile Max needs John's help to take over and cure the computers in Sealab. They succeed and now Skyvault and Sealab are functioning normally. The alien computer turns against Dr. Terror as it takes over Dominion. It launches strappers to blow up a passing asteroid that would destroy all organic life on Earth. While Dr. Terror and Hacker try to stop the alien computer, the Centurions attack their forces but fail to take over the fortress where the members of the council are held prisoners.
