He leads assaults on the meeting of OPEC ministers, taking them hostage and flying them from country to country seeking asylum, one of the most daring acts of terrorism in history. From his earliest days as an apprentice in the revolutionary movement to his subsequent downfall, Carlos becomes a figure of legend.

'Carlos' leads one of the most spectacular terrorist attacks of the 1970s. The terrorists attacked OPEC's headquarters in Vienna and took several hostages. The ministers were released at an airport in Algeria for a large sum of money, but that was not the intention. After this incident, 'Carlos' became a hitman who offered his services to the country that paid the highest price.

Here, behind the Iron Curtain, a network of contacts is established from Romania, Libya and Syria, among others. 'Carlos' lives as a European terrorist godfather and deals in arms sales. But times change, the Berlin Wall falls, and Carlos flees to Sudan. He is eventually extradited to France where he is now imprisoned.
