Season 4 of the family drama revolves around Kitty's health issues and Ojai Foods' financial woes. Kitty (Calista Flockhart) is diagnosed with lymphoma and the Walkers rally to her side. But her serious health scare doesn't dissuade Kitty from throwing her hat in the ring to win Robert's open senate seat. As for the other Walkers, Justin begins medical school, Sarah meets a man in Paris and he follows her back to California, Tommy returns from Mexico and reveals he is getting a divorce, Kevin and Scotty look into surrogacy, Nora starts dating a younger beau, and a mysterious man from William Walker's past arrives and tries to buy the financially struggling Ojai Foods, but his motives are far from upright.
