At the home, they encounter a host of characters including a sweet elderly woman who shares her decade's long love story with Jenna, a retired stage performer who challenges Tara to respect her craft, and Rick, who Kelly seems to think has changed for the better.

Sex, Kings and Wigs

Kelly is sick of dealing with her hair. If she works out, it's an ordeal to fix it afterwards in time for work related meetings. If she doesn't workout, she doesn't feel at her best. After sitting up late watching infomercials, she happens upon one featuring wigs. Kelly decides she's going to rock her wigs and make her life easier. Tara is excited about a play she's auditioning for. The role she's going after is Coretta Scott King. After a moment, Kelly and Jenna find out that Tara has no idea what Coretta Scott King was all about, and she's playing her like a runaway slave. Kelly doesn't want to mess Tara up for her audition, but she wants to tell Tara she's horrible. Jenna tells Kelly to keep quiet. Tara wants to tell Kelly that her wigs look horrible, but Jenna tells her to keep quiet as well. Jenna meets a guy at the gym who flirts with her, but won't ask her out. Kelly encourages Jenna to make the first move, so Jenna decides to holler. They meet up for a date and she finds out that her date is a sex addict. At first, she thinks this could be a good situation. Neither one of them are having sex, so this should be a match made in heaven. It's cool at first, but then Trent starts to be affected by his triggers, causing him to think about having sex again. Trent accuses Jenna of being a sex addict without even knowing it. They realize that this relationship isn't going to work, and go their separate ways.

Mama-Pause

Donovan enters the girls' condo to tell them about a crazy lady acting up in the lobby of their condo. After he shows them some footage from his cell phone that he took of the lady going off on the doorman, they realize that the crazy lady is Jenna's mother, Monica. Jenna was not expecting a visit from her mother, and is hoping it will be short and not include any unnecessary drama, but Monica has other plans. She drops a bombshell on Jenna when she tells her that she's dying. Jenna is understandably upset and caught off-guard. When she probes for more information, and seeks advice from her father, Albert, Jenna finds out that her mother is merely going through menopause, and that was her overdramatic way of describing it. Kelly and Tara have met Monica before, and have no intention of getting wrapped up in any of her crazy, so they seek refuge at Donovan's. He's preparing for a big case and tells them he doesn't have time to kick it with them, but they refuse to go back to the freezing cold condo to deal with Monica, and insinuate themselves into his condo, and also into his case. They propose that they can help him prepare for his trial by doing a mock trial. Kelly plays the defendant, Donovan is the prosecutor, and Tara, by using her acting chops, will play every other role. After reenacting the mock trial, Kelly and Tara are able to give Donovan insight from a perspective he hadn't thought of before.

Jenna's Double D's

Jenna finds herself torn between Donovan and her new boyfriend, so in an effort to make everyone happy, she tries to get them to forge a friendship. Kelly, in a moment of weakness, hangs out with Beverly for a night, then finds it difficult to shake her. Tara meets Enrique's daughter and learns what kind of stepmom she'd be.

Call a Spade a Spade

Donovan needs a partner for his annual spades tournament and enlists Jenna to be his partner. He soon finds out that she's horrible, and Tara swoops in and saves the day. Meanwhile, Kelly placates her sister and agrees to go on a blind date, and is surprised when her date is another ethnicity and she actually likes him.

After accompanying Enrique to a meeting with his estate planner, Tara is hit with the not-so-glamorous side of marriage and decides she needs to break off her engagement. Jenna is on a mission to purge some things out of her life, and Kelly wonders if she should join her, starting with getting rid of her annoying assistant, Morgan.
