While in India, he encounters cultural differences and the realization that making it big in Bollywood is not a sure thing.

Chris is a comedian in Hollywood with plenty of work, but he dreams of being the romantic lead in a big film. Monty, a first-time director from India, invites Chris to Mumbai to star in a film written by Monty's deceased father, a filmmaker with a faded reputation. Lalima, the female lead and a big Bollywood star, refuses to work with Chris because he can't dance, so an unlikely tutor takes on the chore of teaching him. At a club, the newly-confident Chris challenges Lalima to dance with him. Will it be fireworks or an international disaster? And, if Lalima refuses to be in the film, what will Monty and his sister Priya, the film's producer, do?
