Blackadder II
Sixty years after the demise of Prince Edmund Plantagenet, Queen Elizabeth I, who's as insane as her ancestors, is England's current leader. Seductive, easy-to-impress, spoiled, and always seeking a husband, "Queenie" has a leading courtier: Lord Edmund Blackaddder, great-grandson of the original. Now, however, he is dryly cynical and intelligent, but still trying to become king; this time by marrying the queen. However, her right-hand-man, Lord Melchett, will always serve as fair competition for her hand. Blackadder is again assisted by the clueless but fashionable Lord Percy Percy and dung-eating, "cunning" peasant Baldrick.

Bells

Episode 2
Head
30 mins
Following the execution of the Lord High Executioner himself, Queen Elizabeth appoints Edmund Blackadder to the post. Blackadder is hardly excited as nobody ever lasts very long in the role. Episode 3
Potato
27 mins
Following an audience with Sir Walter Raleigh, Queen Elizabeth announces the possibility of her marrying an adventurer. Edmund Blackadder immediately announces his own voyage of discovery, despite his lack of experience, a ship or crew, personal courage, or the intention of actually carrying it out.

Episode 4
Money
27 mins
The president of the Bank of the Black Monks ("service with a smile and a stab") threatens Edmund with torture and death unless he repays the £1000 he owes. While always portraying himself as fabulously wealthy, Blackadder is in fact totally broke, and so he needs to find a way to make money very quickly.... or find something that the Monks like more than money.
Episode 5
Beer
30 mins
Edmund Blackadder is thrilled when his wealthy but puritanical relatives announce their desire to meet and discuss his inheritance. While planning a ingratiatingly spartan and fundamentalist dinner for them, he is summoned to court where he accidentally agrees to host a riotous drinking competition at his house on the same night.

Episode 6
Chains
30 mins
Following a spate of kidnappings, Queen Elizabeth declares that she will no longer pay the perpetrators their ransom demands. Almost immediately, Edmund Blackadder and Lord Melchett are kidnapped by the demented German spy Ludwig, who may have more on his mind than just money. Knowing that the Queen will not pay for their release, Blackadder and Melchett must outwit their half-wit captors in order to escape.
