Ezk 13:5 says, "You have not gone up to face the enemy, nor have you set up a wall for the house of Israel, to stand in battle in the day of the Lord." This episode calls Catholic men to be men of faith, to be ready to go when Jesus sends them to stand against the enemy. The protective wall of a city is likened to the protection a man must provide for his family. The enemy of God is as real as the enemy of a city. We have been given freedom, not to sin, but from sin, so that we may give God reverence as our Creator and Father.
