HBO Likes Bad Girls
Michelle Rodriguez just might make her mortgage payments after all. HBO and Six Feet Under creator Alan Ball are teaming on an adaptation of the long-running British series Bad Girls, reports the Reporter. The women-in-prison drama, which wrapped up its eight-season run in 2006, oft was praised for its portrayal of the complex relationships among female inmates. Nancy Oliver (Oscar-nommed for Lars and the Real Girl) and Raelle Tucker (HBO's upcoming True Blood, also shepherded by Ball) are penning the adaptation, and will exec-produce with Ball. — MWMUse our Online Video Guide to find episodes of the U.K.'s Bad Girls.
