The eighth season of the superhero show opens with Oliver (Stephen Amell) traveling to Earth-2 with his friend Diggle (David Ramsey) to retrieve the Dwarf Star particles: their missions succeeds, but Earth-2 is destroyed and the alternate Laurel (Katie Cassidy) follows them back to Earth-1. Meanwhile, the Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) is still trying to prevent the world and all of reality from falling apart, though not everyone trusts his motives. As the season progresses, all the heroes are asked to make sacrifices big and small in order to protect the ones they love.
