Muriel Anderson is the highly skilled fingerstyle guitarist who won the 1989 National Fingerpicking Guitar Championship. In July 1996, she invited some of the world's greatest contemporary guitarists to perform together at Cafe Milano in Nashville, and this video documents that event. Peppino D'Agostino performs "Beyond the Dunes" and "Why Not?," while Preston Reed plays "Running" and "Blasting Cap"; Phil Keaggy and Anderson entertain the audience with "Tennessee Morning," and Alex De Grassi plays "The Monkulator"; the Richard Smith Trio performs a lively rendition of "Alabama Jubilee"; and Laurence Juber plays a spirited version of "Pass the Buck." The long and exciting night also includes Tommy Jones' version of "Yesterday" and Ed Gernhard's song "The Water Is Wide."
